Rain May Consider Retiring After Releasing New Album

The multitalented celebrity, Rain is showered with joy after wife Kim Tae Hee announced her pregnancy a few weeks ago. However, the "Full House" actor is experiencing a mid-life crisis as he feels his career as a singer is almost since he decided to tie the knot.

Koreaboo reported Rain opened up his feeling about his hiatus. The soon-to-be father somehow compared his career as a singer to that of a professional athlete. After gaining massive success since his debut in early 2000, Rain thinks that he's reaching to an end. However, he still wants to show off his energetic dancing singer side one or two more times before he completely retires.

"Personally I feel I don't want to dance anymore since my body starts slowing down. But on my next album, I want to show a dance that younger singers can keep up, and I think I can show off this side one or two more times," stated the singer.

Rain's plan in 2017 is not only releasing a new album. He just wrapped up filming his new movie "Uhm Bok Dong" that presumably will release in August. Rain also may appear in a new drama within the second half of the year, but he's still reluctant whether to accept the offer as it may get in the way of his new album release.

"If I end up accepting the drama offer, my album may be pushed to release in December, but if I didn't, I could release it sooner," added Rain.

Rain and Kim Tae Hee are expecting their first child. On Soompi, makeup artist Jung Saem Mool revealed how ecstatic he was when he found out Kim Tae Hee is pregnant. It was as if Rain had laser beam coming out of his eyes and lost for words to even express how happy he was to be a father.

Rain is known as one of the best pop singers in 2002. Shin Min Ah's leading man in 2005 drama "A Love to Kill" was even named as one of the "100 Most Influential People" by U.S Time Magazine in 2006.
