Tim Duncan Divorce Mystery Will Have To Wait Until Spurs Are Done With Playoffs [Gif & Video]

Tim Duncan's divorce from wife, Amy, has been only attributed to an unconfirmed report, but if the initialed court documents are true, Tim Duncan is waiting for the divorce proceedings to start until after the 2013 NBA playoffs have concluded.

The San Antonio-Express News reports they found court documents which share the initials of "Tim Theodore Duncan" and his wife, "Amy Duncan."

The Express-News was unable to confirm if the initialed divorce papers actually belonged to the longtime San Antonio Spurs player, but they did bear a striking resemblence to the Duncan's.

"Efforts to confirm Thursday that the legal proceedings involve Tim Duncan, 37, and Amy, 35, were unsuccessful.

"But there are a few other clues in the case that point to the couple:

"The style of the case is A.S.D. vs. T.T.D. Tim Duncan's middle name is Theodore.

"The petition says the couple married on or about July 21, 2001, which coincides with the date of the Duncans' nuptials.

"Two children were born to the parties in the petition: A daughter with the initials S.I.D., born June 27, 2005, and a son, W.D.D., born Aug. 3, 2007."

Here Duncan is playing with his two kids before a San Antonio Spurs game this season:

That's not all that's strange about the Tim Duncan divorce case.

The San Antonio Spurs are in the middle of the Western Conference Finals. They hold a 2-0 edge against the Memphis Grizzlies, with game 3 scheduled for Saturday in Memphis.

In the court filing, the person only identified by the initials "T.T.D" or Tim Theodore Duncan, wants to wait until after the Spurs play their last game of the 2012-13 season before proceeding with the divorce hearing.

"An assistant to Sue M. Hall, T.T.D.'s lawyer, said Hall doesn't comment on her cases.

"Hall filed a motion last week asking that the parties not to have to turn over documents and other information pertinent to the case until a future court date.

"In the alternative, she asked the court to 'give T.T.D. 30 days following the first work day following the San Antonio Spurs' last playoff game (whenever that might be) to respond to the outstanding discovery requests.'"

This bears mentioning since it's still not confirmed if the initialed documents refer to Tim Duncan and his wife Amy.

The two met while Tim was at Wake Forest university. Amy was a cheerleader for the Demon Deacons, and they started dating.

After Tim graduated in 1997 and was made the first pick by the San Antonio Spurs in the 1997 NBA draft, they couple married in July of 2001, which also matches the divorce filing.

Multiple sources are reporting the documents refer to Tim Duncan and his wife Amy, but that has yet to be confirmed despite all the parallels revealed by the San Antonio Express-News.

Tim Duncan made his 10th All-NBA First Team yesterday and he's trying to help the San Antonio Spurs claim their 5th NBA championship since he came into the league in 1997.
