Jumper Kills Five-Year-Old Girl: Report Says Man Commits Suicide But Falls On Little Girl In The Process

A jumper kills five-year-old girl in what was reportedly a suicide attempt by a man in a South Korean port city.

The jumper kills five-year-old girl was reportedly a 38-year-old man who crushed the girl when he jumped from the 11th floor of his apartment building Wednesday. It took place in the city of Busan, according to CNN.

The man died immediately, and the girl was pronounced dead from a skull fracture at a local hospital, according to the CNN report as the jumper kills five-year-old girl from the huge fall.

South Korea does have the highest suicide rate in a country of 49 million.

According to a report by The Korea Herald, suicide was the leading cause of death among South Koreans aged 15-24 in 2011, ahead of cancer, heart disease and car accidents. South Korea sees 31 suicides for every 100,000 people each year, according to South Korean news outlet Hankyoreh.

South Korean authorities have no motive as to why this 39-year-old man jumped to his death killing a 5-year-old along the way, according to Examiner.com. No suicide note was left behind.

The name of the alleged man, who committed suicide has not been released, neither has the name of the five-year-old girl who was reportedly killed by the jumper.
