“Fifty Shades of Grey” cast rumors have no safe words and they might not promise happy endings.

“50 Shades of Grey” movie cast rumors abound on the web and it hurts so good.

There are web sites and Facebook pages dedicated to speculating on who will wield the whip as E.L. James' popular erotic novel “50 Shades of Grey” comes to the silver screen. Though we can’t get into the heads of the show biz execs, the fans have favored Alexis Bledel and Emma Watson for the role of Ana Steele and Matt Bomer and Henry Cavill as the debonair Christian Grey.

The Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel pairing attracted two dedicated fan pages on Facebook: “Matt Bomer & Alexis Bledel for 'Shades of Grey'” that has over 1,500 followers and "Bomer and Bledel for Grey and Steele.”

Emma Watson took to Twitter to dispel rumors was cast, "Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life."

During a press conference for "Oz The Great and Powerful," Mila Kunis, another fan favorite, told the British press, "No, you will not see me in Fifty Shades Of Grey, I'm sorry."

Vampire Alexander Skarsgard could bring the “True Blood” sex dungeon to the set as Christian Grey. He’s been paired with Alexandra Daddario, who we’ve seen restrained in "Texas Chainsaw 3D."

Another fanger, Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon Salvatore on “The Vampire Diaries,” recently teased "There's nothing official, b ut there's a website you can go to where you can make your basement like a dungeon. So, I thought I'd get prepared, just in case [I was cast]!"

Joe Wright’s name is being thrown around as a possible director. The Englishman directed “Pride & Prejudice,” “Atonement,” “Hanna” and the 2012 adaptation of the “Anna Karenina.”

Stephen Amell, who starred in “Arrow,” teased the fans when he announced that he “had a meeting” about starring stepping into Christian Grey’s stylish designer shoes. But ultimately pulled out, saying, “Was on a flight yesterday evening back to LA with no movie, so I grabbed ‘50 Shades of Grey’ and burned through it. Ummm… I hope they get the movie made, and I’m sure someone will be excellent in it. That person will not be me. I get questions about Christian Grey all the time. That project is a long way off. I know this, because I had a meeting about it. Long way off. I mean, not that long, but not close.”

Ryan Gosling threw cold water on rumors that he would take on the role of Grey when he announced that he would be retiring from acting to focus on directing.

Amanda Seyfried has gotten buzz from the very first casting rumors began circulating early last year.

Henry Cavill, the 29-year-old British heartthrob who will play Clark Kent in the upcoming summer Superman blockbuster "Man of Steel," has been raising welts on the skins of rumor sites.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt was recently rumored to be in the running for the role of Christian Grey.

In spite of a fake story from a fan site that he was already cast, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, 32, who was seen in "Inception" and "500 Days of Summer," is still being considered for the role of Christian Grey.

Ashley Benson, who spent the winter on the beach in the movie "Spring Breakers, was caught reading the S&M novel with her "Pretty Little Liars" cast-mate Shay Mitchell. Bentson told Celebuzz, "I've read every book. I want to play Anastasia," Benson said.

The latest buzz currently surrounds "Don Jon" actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt and "Hannibal" hottie Hugh Dancy. Henry Cavill, Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence have also won top honors in the poll of who fans want to see most.
