Solo, Sub-Unit, And Concert Series: Brace Yurselves As "EXO Month" Approaches

On June 28, EXO's official Instagram page excited the fans with a black and white motion teaser, titled "EXO Month" written in an Old English font and featuring a unique calendar of activities. This includes the launching of solo and unit acts, plus the long-awaited "EXO Planet #5: The EXplOration" to transpire in Seoul.

July 1st was a roller coaster ride for EXO-Ls, following D.O.'s enlistment to the release of his solo track to the longed-for OT9 reunion. We'd like to remind you though that what collectively went down yesterday was just the appetizer.

Step aside from the lamentations we feel towards D.O. officially enlisting as the rest of his fellow EXO members have tons of slabs to offer to us EXO-Ls this month. While the supergroup's main vocalist's temporary leave of absence left us in a heartbroken state, he made sure to comfort us with his solo SM Station "That's Okay" that was released a few hours after he set foot on the military training camp.

Simultaneously, Lay presumably flew all the way to Seoul to be reunited with his brothers and to send D.O. off-which didn't fail to melt our OT9 hearts. Suho, Chanyeol, and Sehun shared their group photos taken during D.O.'s send-off and mini-reunion on their respective Instagram accounts.

Several hours later, SM Entertainment unveiled a 40-second video teaser of Baekhyun's forthcoming mini-album "City Lights," as well as two posters, Day and Night versions. The main vocalist will bless our ears with his god-tier voice on July 10, and his title track "UN Village" will definitely send us 'eargasms' with its groovy and sensual vibe, an R&B song that is truly fit for a vocal king.

July 2nd, singer Ailee is set to release her new song, titled "LOVE," which is her collaboration with also EXO's main vocalist Chen. Further, Lay is slated to kick off his first-ever solo concert series "Grandline" this month as well.

Of course, we shouldn't forget to mark our calendars with the launching of EXO's new sub-unit, EXO-SC, comprised of Sehun and Chanyeol. Their upcoming album, "What A Life," which includes six tracks, is set to be released on July 22. On the same date that the "EXO Month" calendar was released, the new unit's poster was revealed by the K-Pop group's main account on social networking platforms.

A total of six days from the month of July have been acquired by EXO's upcoming concerts, "EXplOration," in Seoul, which will be on July 19-21 and July 26-29. On June 24, EXO announced that their second country to visit, in line with the Planet #5 series, will be in Hong Kong. The supergroup will hold a two-day concert in the neighboring country.
