Park Seo Joon Launches Own Youtube Channel

"I've started this to communicate more with fans and repay you for your interest in me. Though I am very lacking, I will fill this channel with small stories about my life!" The multi-awarded actor wrote.

In his post on the photo-sharing app, Park Seo Joon included the link of his first-ever vlog on the platform, bearing the title Record Park's: Park Seo Joon's 'The Divine Fury' promotions 24 hours. The 11-minute clip shows the actor in the middle of a pictorial, casually strolling on the street, in the car, and in a seeming media conference.

Reports added that the KDrama and film star wishes to let his fans see the different and more natural sides of him. His supporters showered the comments section with positive responses, with tons expressing their willingness to wait for the application of English subtitles.

The forthcoming action-horror movie The Divine Fury is set to hit theaters on July 31, where Park Seo Joon portrays the role of a martial arts champion, named Yong-hoo, who later finds out he has an innate exorcist power to fight against the evil.

And as the actor was asked to give his insight into the upcoming film, he said "it's a film that becomes very different depending on who watches it. It could be a horror, an occult, an action or a drama. It has everything in it."

When he was young, Yong-hoo grew hatred against God and continues to blame Him for his father's death. In the trailer, he is seen having nightmares and discovers a bleeding wound on his palm. He then finds a Catholic priest who he joins forces with to fight against foes.

In an interview with Yonhap News, however, Park Seo Joon opened up on his currently popular mien, which is usually the leading man in a romantic series. Needless to say, this is where he earned his title rom-com master. Nonetheless, he accepted this new character as he aspires versatility.

"I think I know to some extent what part of my image the public likes. So if I were to make similar choices (of roles), the result could have been better. But that would be less interesting to me. That's why I chose 'The Divine Fury,' I think I always need to have new stimulation so that I am excited about acting," the actor shared.

It's hard not to notice that the upcoming movie will face tough competitors on its release, such as a few of Hollywood's most-awaited, The Lion King, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Alladin. For the actor, this just proves that the South Korean film industry is at par with the realm of international films.

"From the perspective of moviegoers, it's important to have as many choices as possible. Their choices are very objective. And this is why the Korean film industry continued to develop, to be competitive (against foreign films). So I give my applause to director Kim Ju-hwan's new attempt because without trials for new things, (the industry) would remain the same," he said.
