No, it isn't a dream — South Korean pop ensemble The Boyz will be returning to the music scene this month with a brand-new record!
As announced on their social media accounts on August 9, they will be releasing their fourth EP called “DreamLike” on the 19th.
Apart from the release date, the boy band also shared a timeline detailing the promotional efforts they will make leading up to the unveiling of their newest project.
The trailer will be premiered on the 12th, while the tracking and the album highlight medley will be shared with the public on the 13th and 14th, respectively.
Days prior to the album’s release, The Boyz will also drop two teasers of the music video of their titular track. The MV will be released on the same day of the EP’s.
The Boyz’s summer comeback is aptly themed to be dreamy — with hints of their signature boy-band charms — to match the vibe of the season.
In a set of concept photos unveiled online, each of the members — Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Ju Haknyeon, Hwall, Sunwoo, and Eric — take the spotlight as they donned streetwear and posed in front of the camera to produce really dreamlike images.
Though present in the teasers, Hwall will sit out from the promotional activities of “DreamLike.” In March last year, he was also excluded in their schedule promoting their offering “Giddy Up” after he suffers from a leg injury, which led to him undergoing a surgery.
In a statement released by The Boyz’s agency Cre.ker Entertainment, it was officially declared that Hwall “will not be abel to take part in the group’s official schedules for the time being due to health reasons.”
“We apologize for causing fans to worry because of this sudden news. We hope for everyone’s understanding,” the company added, asking for their fans’ continued support for the group especially for their upcoming project.
Their summer comeback follows their latest single album, “Bloom Bloom,” which dropped in April this year. Their last EP however, “The Only,” arrived in November 2018.
The Boyz debuted in December of 2017.
