EXID's Hani Shares She Learned to "Trust Myself" Throughout Years in the Industry

During her interview, Hani opened up about her recent vacations and her takeaways from those times off.

"I recently went on vacation to Greece and Italy by myself. I used to live so busily because I thought that relaxing would only make me slack off more. However, I realized that it's important to take time for myself once in a while. This vacation was not only my turning point but also allowed me to organize many of my thoughts," she shared.

Hani debuted seven years ago, enough to say that she had grown up in the industry and as a person through the years. When asked about the certain changes about herself from the get-go, she revealed, "I learned to trust myself. Throughout the seven years, I think I compiled little bits of evidence proving that I could believe in myself. Now, I firmly know that I will work hard no matter what I do and that the results will showcase how hard I've worked."

The EXID member's full interview will come out in September.

Meanwhile, Hani's fellow member Solji recently made a powerful performance at KBS2's Immortal Songs. She was joined by 2AM's Changmin, Nilo, GB9, Ben, and Park Si Hwan for the Kim Bum Soo tribute special.

"I really wanted to appear on the Kim Bum Soo special. He's so good at singing and is strong. I want to become a singer like Kim Bum Soo. Since it's my first appearance on 'Immortal Songs' after three years, I want to leave a good performance," the songstress shared.

Solji chose the track I Miss You and explained, "It's such a famous and good song, so I worked hard to capture the emotions of the original. I hope you'll focus on emotions and feelings. I hope to achieve even just one win."

After the performance, Kim Bum Soo had nothing but praises for the EXID member.

"I think Solji must've had many difficulties while preparing, and I'm surprised that this song can evolve like this. I was shocked by the new arrangement. I think she's a singer who sings ballads the best out of all of the girl group main vocalists. She did such a good job singing 'I Miss You,' which is a song I also always have trouble singing," the veteran singer stated.

Kim Tae Woo of g.o.d. also commended the singer.

"After watching today's performance, I think that she's not only the best girl group vocalist, but the best vocalist. Period," he said.
