On Monday, Minah posted a black and white photo of a seagull soaring in the sky, but she didn't leave a caption for it. Nonetheless, it is easily understandable that the post was her tribute to the late star. A lot of fans expressed their sincerest condolences and words of comfort under the image.
However, one horrible comment was made by an anonymous account, telling her, "Why, do you want to go next, you *****." Soon after, Minah took a screenshot of the nasty remark and posted it as an Instagram Story. Furiously, Minah wrote the text, "How can I even begin to understand this? I'll report you."
The singer was praised for this courageous act. Her bandmate Sojin also paid respect to the idol-turned-actress by publishing a black and white photo of hands in a praying manner.
Sulli was only 25 when she passed away. She reportedly experienced harsh comments online that she had to take a break from her group in 2014 due to this. At the time, her agency SM Entertainment stated, "f(x) member Sulli became mentally and physically exhausted from the continuous, malicious comments and false rumors, and has expressed her wish to take a break from her celebrity activities for the time being."
In 2015, Sulli completely left the group and continued with her acting career. However, malicious comments didn't leave her.
As of writing, investigations are still ongoing. A Seongnam Sujeong Police Station representative said that they are planning to conduct an autopsy if the later actress's family allows them to do so.
Other sources from the police station added, "We have yet to receive her family's consent, but we requested a warrant for an autopsy to figure out the exact cause of her death. Whether or not the autopsy will be conducted depends on whether or not the warrant is issued."
Meanwhile, SM Entertainment released a statement regarding the space they will be providing for the fans who will be paying their respects to Sulli.
"This is SM Entertainment.
Sulli has left our side.
We are filled with grief to have to share this unfortunate news with fans.
In accordance with her family's thoughts, we have prepared the following space for fans, who have always given [her] generous support, to give their warm goodbyes to Sulli.
