The girl group revealed their comeback through their official SNS accounts. Two group photos were uploaded showing the name of their sixth mini-album, "NEW MOON," the title of their new song, "Come See Me," and the date of its release, which will be on November 26. Each comeback poster is titled, with the first one being "Aiming at MOON," and the other one is "Observed by MOON."

AOA will be returning to the music scene with only five members.

Based on the images, the FNC Entertainment female group seems to be having a western-inspired concept for their new album. They can be seen wearing leather and frills. By the looks of things, AOA might be going with a "girl crush" motif for their return.

This comeback will be the band's first after more than a year since their last single "Bingle Bangle," which was launched in May of 2018. It will also be the first time for the group to be launched with only five members - Jimin, Seolhyun, Yoona, Chanmi, and Hyejung. AOA member Mina departed from the group last April after deciding not to renew her contract with the agency to become a solo artist.

AOA has initially been an eight-piece team that debuted in Korea in July 2012 with the track titled "Elvis." They also started to release songs in Japan in February 2015, including the Japanese versions of their singles "Miniskirt," "Like a Cat," "Elvis," and "Just the Two of Us." The group also promoted three sub-units - AOA Black, AOA White, and AOA Cream.

AOA Black consists of members and launched their first song "MOYA" in July 2012. AOA Cream is made up of and made their debut with "I'm Jelly Baby" in February 2016. Unlike the two sub-units, AOA white is a non-promotional team - composed of Seolhyun, Hyejeong, and Chanmi. They generally focus on appearing in variety shows and are dubbed "the dance unit of AOA."

In November 2016, Youkyung left FNC Entertainment after her contract expiration. Then, in June 2017, Choa was announced to have withdrawn from the group due to her struggles with mental health.

This past August, AOA was one of the participants in Mnet's reality show "Queendom," in which six female K-pop groups competed with each other for the title "Queen." And as expected, AOA put up excellent performances. One of those even became a hot topic on Naver.

While waiting for the group's comeback, check out "Sorry," their latest release as a five-member group that they entered as their final song in Queendom.
