Kakao M, IU's agency, has released an official statement regarding the fraudulent activities that occurred at the singer/actress's concert.

On Thursday, November 14, the agency announced:

"We would like to give light to the recent incident that has happened regarding IU's concert.

There have been Invitation Tickets being illegally sold outside. These Invitation Tickets are complimentary tickets that are given to executive-level employees of our company. They can use these tickets to watch concerts for free as a bonus for working with us.

However, these complementary tickets ended up being sold to fans outside the agency's premises. It was known that an acquaintance of one of our employees received the tickets and sold them. We deeply apologize for this incident.

It is beyond our power to control the selling of these complimentary tickets. We will make sure to prevent these kinds of issues in the future. Again, we would like to apologize for the unauthorized selling of the Invitation Tickets due to our carelessness.

If any fraudulent transactions are found in the concert grounds, we will take firm actions. We would also like to ask the fans to report any fraudulent activities going on. We will keep you updated as soon as we finish investigating the incident.

Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused to all the fans. Thank you."
