The seven-piece female group did a V Live to celebrate the tenth year of their debut. While waiting for the release of their special album "Over the Rainbow," the members had a chat with their fans.
Rainbow has returned to carry out their 10th-anniversary project!
During the broadcast, Jaekyung said, "To ensure that this project comes true, we have been planning on it since this year started." Jisook commented that Jaekyung was the biggest strength behind this project.
The group then revealed the reason for making this activity, detailing, "We believe that the main reason that made all seven of us promote successfully for ten years is because of the love we receive from our fans. That being so, we decided to reward them with a new song."
Rainbow also talked about the newest track, "Aurora" that is part of their special album. The girls shared, "We got together earlier this year and settled on making an album for our 10th anniversary. We seek help from Hyunyoung in writing the song since she has participated in a few of our tracks. However, she said no." Hyungyoung then explained that it's because she has never once made a cheerful song. The group added, "We ended up having a song created by a friend of Jaekyung's younger brother, N.Flying member Jaehyun."
The girls later unveiled the meaning behind the name of their album's title track, "Aurora." They said, "You can also sight an aurora at night, and you can only spot a rainbow during the day. It conveys a message, 'Now, we are with you for 24 hours every day."
About the album, Rainbow described, "It carries bright and exciting energy that is one of a kind to the group. If you listen to the song, it will provide you with plenty of strength. Please also check out the music video."
When asked to promise something if ever they achieve the top spot on the charts, Rainbow responded, "We still have no choreography. But if the song peaks at No. 1 on any music site even for just a second, we will create the dance steps and perform it in music shows."
The girl group also mentioned that they would be giving all proceeds from the song to a particular children's foundation. Jaekyung noted, "We wanted to be of help to the hopeful children. It will be excellent if you tune in to the song many times."
Rainbow also guested on MBC's "Idol Radio" on that same day. They got a congratulatory message from N.Flying's Jaehyun to which they replied, "Our song 'Aurora' would not have existed without you. You became a great help for our 10th-anniversary album. On your 10th anniversary, we will give you plenty of support."
