"I am sorry. (Mianhaeyo)", SNSD Taeyeon words as she posted her mysterious Instagram story, while she looks at the camera in a dark room. What catches fans and netizens attention was the "X" emoji she used as well, and other two emojis that implying sadness and anxiousness.

Recently she opened up to the public that she will be going to seek for medical treatment, as last year, it has been revealed that she was diagnosed with depression. On her other past Instagram updates, she also alarms fans as she posted an image with "Goodbye" words in it, though fans weren't sure if what's this farewell word means.

Taeyeon's posts were causing fans to worry a lot for they haven't had any idea to what the female idol wanted to say. However, after fans noticed her story, Taeyeon was showered by positive and cheering comments, as well as other fandoms sent her a virtual hug as well.

Other fans were also avoiding to ask about her future activities with SNSD, where fans noticed that during SM's release of their planned activities for the SM groups, Girls' Generation was not included.

Meanwhile, Taeyeon has been trying to fight depression for years now, as she continues her promotions for her solo artist activities. It was noted that during her Question and Answer portion in IG around June last year, a commenter asked if she has had bipolar disorder, then she replied,

"No, I am suffering from depression. I am trying hard to take medications, whether someone is suffering from bipolar disorder or depression, please do not tell them that they looked so annoyed. Everyone is a patient who is in pain."

Fans then speculate that Taeyeon's depression started around when her former co-member Jessica, left the group, and it got severe following her song-boyfriend's death, Kim Jonghyun. The two were very close to each other since their debut days and even worked together for several songs, making them "Song-couple".

Moreover, in October 2019, Taeyeon's junior, Choi Sulli, passed away as well, adding up to her pains. Taeyeon and Sulli were like sisters, and before Sulli left, they even met at Sulli's opening event, where they got to talk to each other.

On top of this, Taeyeon has also experience malicious comments following her recent relationships, as well as discrimination, and hateful remarks. Fans, especially SONES, do hope that netizens will get to become aware of everything they will speak or do, which can affect an idol tremendously.

Recently, depression has become a sensitive issue towards South Korea, which was not only true to ordinary citizens but as well as to Korean idols. This illness commonly leads to suicide; thus, people might not take this lightly, but rather handle patients with care and seriously.

On the other hand, SNSD fans were demanding SM Entertainment to look after their artists more, especially regarding their mental health. This is not only applicable to SM but to other agencies as well, to treat their idols with care.
