On February 2, Jay Park expressed his thoughts about BIGBANG through his tweet, which immediately caught attention from the netizens in social media platforms.

According to the Korean-American rapper and singer, "I think Big Bang might be the greatest boyband in K-pop History, they got everything, talent, character, stage presence, bops, and adversity."

The tweet of the idol showed his great respect to BIGBANG, citing the unique characteristics of the group, which he refers to as having "everything."

Meanwhile, fans could not agree more as Jay Park's tweet received lots of retweet, netizens leaving their messages, which is seconding the motion of Park's sentiments.

With the number of successful records of BIGBANG and paving the K-pop industry through the international market, there is no doubt that BIGBANG played a significant role in molding the K-pop industry, holding massive influence and legacy as the "Kings of K-pop." Also, the name BIGBANG was not just a K-pop group, but it is a brand as well.

However, there were some netizens and fans of other K-pop group who were throwing their counterclaims, and asking Jay Park to give some receipts of his claims. Some were also involving the criminal record of Seungri, who already left the group last year, making him a flaw in the group.

Nevertheless, even if people were salty about the idol's statement, it is Jay Park's opinion as a fan and as a successful artist in Korea and America who knows music and the industry more than the others.

On the other hand, Jay Park was a former member of one of the most popular groups during the second-generation era of K-pop, 2 PM, and he was also heralded as the leader of the group as they debut on 2008.

However, one mistranslated conversation of him to a friend about Korea led their successful career to be shaken in 2009, causing people to demand his withdrawal from the group. Still, he then takes on hiatus instead as per JYP's statement that will last for a year to atone for his mistake after releasing an official apology. He continued to become a member despite not joining the group's comeback albums.

In 2010, netizens realized that Jay Park was severely accused, and the translation of his unfavorable comments about Korea was translated out of context. Fans then started demanding his return from the group, but it was too late, for his contract was already terminated. He then steps forward and becomes a successful artist in America.

In addition to this, according to YG's CEO Yang Hyun Seok's interview last 2011, Jay Park, together with G-Dragon and Taeyang, was supposed to debut as a trio.

"However, we were unable to go through with it due to their conflicting schedules, so we (roped in G-Dragon and Taeyang to establish BigBang) instead."

Meanwhile, BIGBANG, the best boy band in the K-pop history according to Park, will be going to have their first performance as a four-member group in Coachella 2020.
