The day EXO-ls and netizens have been waiting for has come finally! On the 19th of February, an official from SM Entertainment confirmed that the leader of the worldwide superstar group EXO would be having his debut as a solo artist.

According to the statement of SM Entertainment's representative, the news is not a rumor but legit.

"It is true that currently, Suho has been preparing for his 1st solo album." In addition to this statement, it has also been announced that fans and netizens should standby first for the full details are not decided yet, and will be revealed to the public once everything is already settled.

However, according to insiders and reports, Suho is set to kick off in mid-March, though the male idol's agency does not confirm it. The only statement that has been said is that the album is currently on progress.

Meanwhile, Suho will be the third member of EXO to have a solo debut, following the success of Chen and Baekhyun's album. Though it is expected that EXO Kai will be dropping his solo album as well, there is no assurance if who will have their release first. But, both albums are expected this first half of the year.

Furthermore, fans and netizens are happy upon the announcement. However, they are also feeling sad cause this might be the last activity of EXO's Suho due to his military service, and if the group will not be having a comeback for the meantime.

It has been stated that Suho, the leader of the group, only has this year for promoting, with restrictions, when it comes to an international flight in compliance with the rules and regulations of the military.

There is also speculation that if mid-March will be the album release, there is a possibility that the idol will have to bid his goodbye to his fans for less than two years to finish his service in April or May.

It is evident that other artists from SM Entertainment such as SHINee's Onew, Minho, and Key as well as EXO's Xiumin and Kyungsoo, or also known as D.O. dropped their solo songs, albums, and held their fan meetings and concerts too before going inside the military.

On the other hand, Suho has been recently active and busy doing his schedules, following the consecutive concerts of their group in Korea, as well as participating in a musical and promoting his drama.

At the beginning of 2020, he returned to the musical stage along with Super Junior Kyuhyun and the project's title was, "The Man Who Laughs." Moreover, he also released an OST for his drama "How are U Bread?" wherein after years of waiting, the drama has finally been broadcasted and successfully wrapped up its final episode.

Suho's musical will run until the 1st of March, and while waiting for his solo album and its details, fans are encouraged to watch his drama and attend his musical if possible.
