Jay Park released his statement and explained to his fans why he won't be suing Brian Ortega after slapping him. The rapper made it to the headlines after being hit by the UFC Fighter, who, in defense, told the media that he was "talking trash."
After the slapping incident, a lot of his fans are worried. A fan posted on Twitter and asked Jay Park if he will sue Brian Ortega for assaulting him.
To everyone's surprise, Jay Park replied with: "I just don't use people who have less than me."
A representative from AOMG guaranteed the supporters of the artist that they have quickly responded to the assault and that Jay Park won't be having any long-lasting injuries to endure.
"Brian Ortega indeed initiated the fight but luckily the guards quickly escalated to the incident and escorted the UFC fighter out. Don't worry because Jay Park did not sustain any injuries that will have a lasting effect on his health," said the representative.
It has been reported that the reason why Brian Ortega slapped the singer Jay Park is because of his translation of Chan Sung Jung's statement.
"Ortega already ducked me once. I don't need to fight a fighter that's already ducked me one time," he said.
Brian Ortega recently made a statement after the incident and warned Jay Park that he will slap him whenever he sees him.
"Jay Park, welcome to the fight fame, don't be surprised if I slap the shit out of you when I see you," said the UFC Fighter.
On March 7, Jay Park watched the event held at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. He tagged along Chan Sung Jung also known as "The Korean Zombie."
It was also confirmed that when Chan Sung Jung left to go to the restroom, Ortega then slapped Jay Park. In a statement made by the police, Jay Park has a year to decide if he wants to press charges before the slapping incident. If so, the Las Vegas Metro Police would likely treat the case as a "Misdemeanor battery case."
However, Jay Park left a statement with Ariel Helwannie saying, "I don't want his money, I also don't want him to go to jail because of anything like this. I just find it weird. I can't comprehend if he was thinking or not. He just needed to get his act together. Real talk."
However, the Korean UFC Fighter Chan Sung Jung expressed his anger and disappointment for failing to protect the rapper from Brian Ortega.
He released his lengthy statement on his Instagram account.
"Since I have joined AOMG, Jay Park never and even once did not tell me to trash talk. I don't speak English fluently so I asked Jay Park to be my translator. Jay Park showed confidence in every little thing he does. He just quietly supports me. And for the record, I did not use Jay Park's slapping incident as a marketing tactic. I'm just so mad that I wasn't able to protect him," the Korean UFC fighter said.
"I'm certain that Jay Park could have fought back. But because Brian Ortega is a professional UFC Fighter ranking second place all over the world, this shows us Jay Park is just a civilian. I just can't believe how he waited for me to leave so he could attack Jay Park and run off!" He went on.
