UFC Fighter Brian Ortega Officially Apologizes to Jay Park After Slapping Incident

UFC Fighter Brian Ortega officially tweeted his apology to Jay Park after the slapping incident at the T-Mobile in Las Vegas.

On Wednesday, March 11, Brian Ortega took to his personal Twitter account and said, "I want to officially apologize to JPark for Saturday night, when Zombie is ready we can fight."

Before this apology tweet, the UFC fighter also posted another apology tweet that was taken down a few minutes later. He wrote, "On Saturday night, I slapped three people at the same time. I am sorry for slapping the 'translator,' I am sorry for slapping the 'K-pop star,' but I am NOT sorry for slapping the 'Instigator.'"

On Saturday, March 8, Jay Park and Jung Chan Sung attended the UFC 248 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jay Park's role was reportedly to translate everything that the UFC Fighter Jung Chan Sung will say but their opponent Brian Ortega assumed that Jay Park insinuated a fight between the two UFC players after translating one word from Zombie's statement.

"Injury and Dodging are two separate things," Brian Ortega mentioned in his first deleted tweet.

News spread fast when Brian Ortega slapped the rapper and translator Jay Park, and this made the South Korean UFC Fighter go mad and disappointed after the incident.

Jung Chan Sung a.k.a. "The Korean Zombie" even expressed his disappointment using his official Instagram account and stated how frustrated he is when Brian Ortega waited for him to leave before attacking his translator Jay Park.

On Instagram, Zombie wrote a lengthy statement regarding this.

"Last night, you sat 10 meters away from me and Jay Park. For two hours nothing happened, so I thought everything was fine. But you f****** attacked Jay Park while I went to the bathroom," the South Korean UFC fighter began.

"Jay Park is not a professional fighter but a musician. You slapped a civilian who merely helped translate. Even worse, you were sitting there waiting until I would be absent and attacked Jay Park. It was not a fight like real men would do. What you have done is same as a grown up to beat a child," he added.

"You should have attacked me. If so, I would have not been upset. You are such a coward for slapping a musician not a fighter. If you f****** planned this to fight me and to use my name because people don't remember your name anymore, then I congratulate you, it worked," he went on.

Zombie then told Brian Ortega, "I will fight you and I will knock you out and your f****** face will be bloody. Now, your f****** face stays in my mind and I will fuck you up in the cage. I hope you won't run away from me again."

Jay Park, on the other hand, tweeted, "I reviewed the Interview again and I found it interesting because Jung Chan Sung did not say that Brian Ortega 'ducked out" instead he said, "ran away." I just interpreted the word as 'ducking out." It is basically the same thing, but it would be ridiculous to state that I misinterpreted and just exaggerated it."

In the end, Jay Park did not choose to sue the UFC Fighter Brian Ortega in the hopes of he could compose himself after all that happened.
