On Friday, March 13, Super Junior's Shindong fed his fans' social media timeline once again with his new and improved physique. On his personal Instagram account, the idol uploaded a photo of the outcome of his Juvis diet.
Now, his visuals are more head-turning and are giving off a handsome boy-next-door vibe.
In the image, Shindong took a mirror selfie, exuding an expensive aura while wearing his luxurious OOTD (outfit of the day). The idol was wearing a shirt from Fear of God, a jacket from H&M, a Balenciaga belt, a Gucci wool bag, and he also flexed his phone, which is one of the latest models of Samsung, the S20 Ultra. Its cost ranges from 90 US Dollars to 1,400 US Dollars.
In addition to this, Shindong was also wearing an earring, which is a trend to the new generation of idols, evidence that he can still catch up with the latest trends despite being one of the pioneers of K-pop.
Prior to this, he also uploaded his 31kg photo, featuring his prominent neck, and slimmer jawline, with a caption, "After a while, I will do #YoutubeLive at #10 PM, Meet me at #ShindongDengDong." Wearing his yellow hoodie, Shindong excited fans with his boyfriend material vibe.
Meanwhile, Shindong is currently active as an idol and host of his own talk show, "Shindong Gayo," under SBS's YouTube channel, "SBS KPOP Play."
On the show, the Super Junior member interacts with various K-pop artists and groups to learn their new dance and releases. Shindong also talks to these idols and make their charms and unique personalities stand out by doing a sundry of challenges and fun activities.
"K-pop Play" became prominent as it gained popularity with their direct cam videos and aviation cams, a fan service video with a unique concept. Due to this, the channel selected the "all-rounder" Super Junior member, which is known for his friendly and bubbly personality, and is well-loved as a senior of several idols, to become the show's representative
"Shindong Gayo" is a talk show that aims to communicate with fans by featuring their favorite K-pop idols. Here also unfolds some series of story-telling, spilling out some content of their new album and unveil the behind-the-scenes from "Inkigayo," to promote their songs better.
Meanwhile, after undergoing an extreme diet, having lost 31 Kilograms within four months, Shindong is now receiving a lot of praises and positive feedback for his transformation.
Unfortunately, he also encountered negative criticism and hateful comments, and some of his haters say he's a "hyproc*te".
These bashers are accusing Shindong of being sexist, after his comment about how women can't be fat and men can, years ago, and now he underwent a diet. Netizens are also claiming that up until now, female idols are uncomfortable being with him, in case they might be body-shamed by the idol.
It was noted then that Shindong chose to undergo a diet right after he became the target of tons of malicious and harsh comments on social media for not taking care of his weight well. This was during the promotions of Super Junior's "Time_Slip." He then sought advice from his doctor and decided to lose weight and maintain his health, noting that his sedentary lifestyle might be the cause of his early death.
