Cho Joo Bin's family reportedly moved instantly out of their residence in Incheon, Korea, as soon as he was revealed to be the "Nth Room" perpetrator, earning the nation's fury.
Cho is one of the major perpetrators of the "Nth Room" porno ring on Telegram, and had sexually abused minors for accessing compensated app users. He was the first to have been identified by the authorities after the scandal hit the headlines in South Korea.
MBN stated that the family of Cho Joo Bin lived in an apartment for rent in Incheon before his identity was disclosed. The apartment is now unoccupied. A family friend confirmed that the family left the house as soon as the news divulged the identity of Cho Joo Bin.
In order to prevent criticism of the residents in their locality, the neighbors predicted that Cho Joo Bin's mother, dad, and older sister made the decision to relocate from their home. The locals were shocked to learn of Cho's crimes and him being able to perform these acts. They first identified him as a kind young man.
"He was an aspiring model. He was a nice person. His greetings were really sweet, and I was shocked when I learned that he had done such terrible things," a local said.
Following the disclosure of the identity of Cho Joo Bin, 128 suspects in connection with the "Nth Room Sex Assult Case" were taken into police custody and 18 were detained.
The name of the perpetrator in the "Doctor's Room" was first revealed by SBS on March 23. In compliance with Article 25 of the Act on special cases concerning the prosecution of sexual offenses, an official action on identity exposure was taken on March 24, after the Decision of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Human Information Disclosure Committee (MDC). This is the first case in which an official measure to publicly disclose a sex abuser was taken.
Cho Joo bin was discovered to be a graduate of Incheon Technical College and was a journalist for the University News.
This scandal came a couple of months after the Burning Sun scandal, which involved famous K-pop singer Seungri and other celebrities, and accused them of having run a sex ring in Seoul. That is the scandal. In November of 2019, the story was reported in Hankyoreh, a Korean newspaper, with another article by Kookmin Ilbo, published this year in March, which further identified the horrific actions of innocent women.
In an outraged turn of events, over 70 women, many of these young girls, had been victims massive ring of sexual assault and were compelled to give themselves videos performing gruesome sexual acts and self-harm. These video clips were then shared on a Telegram, a chat app famous for its protected board with groups of over 200,000 people.
