Former "Produce X 101" trainee, Kim Hyeon Bin, opened his own Instagram profile and YouTube page!
Last year Kim Hyeon Bin started as a trainee in Source Music on Mnet's "Produce X 101." He presented "Move" for his assessment of the concept, and was eventually excluded with a final rank of 30 on episode 11.
His mother told TopStarNews media outlet in January, "He split ties with his former Source Music company without any conflict," and continued, "Now Hyeon Bin is planning for his debut at another agency. It seems, however, that Kim Hyeon Bin had also withdrawn from that firm. I can not say which one the firm it is because there is plenty of time remaining before his comeback."
On April 15, Kim Hyeon Bin wrote, "Hello, this is Kim Hyeon Bin," on his Instagram. I have quit my agency, and I sing and study with the intention of going to college. Every now and then, I intend to post a photo or clip to Instagram or YouTube! Take a peek, please."
Kim Hyeon Bin also opened his YouTube channel, "Billboard Man," along with his Instagram profile. On his site, he posted covers of Park Won's "Try" and BOL4 and 20 Years of Age's "We Loved." Using a fluffy dolphin as a prop, Kim Hyeon Bin said, "I couldn't strum my guitar because it was nighttime, so I strummed this dolphin."
It was in September 2019 when Source Music Agency had departed all their Male trainees, and that includes Kim Hyeonbin.
With the announcement that through 'PLUS GLOBAL AUDITION' Source Music and Big Hit Entertainment will join forces together to create a new girl band in 2021, numerous K-Pop fans are certainly looking forward to the partnership of the two companies.
People on social media also noticed that Source Music trainee Kim HyeonBin, who had made appearances on Mnet "Produce X 101," had left the company, despite all this being said.
A fan had posted the screenshot on an internet message board about how a friend of Kim HyeonBin had joined a group chat and announced the details.
The friend reported that, as of August 28, Kim HyeonBin had made the decision to leave Source Music but would not disclose much information about everything. He also mentioned that one of the reasons could be linked to how Source Music decides to make a new girl group premiere and so they decided to let go of all their male trainees.
He also told supporters of Kim HyeonBin that he would continue to prepare for auditions, after departing the agency and intend to start training as a K-Pop idol. Add to that, and he still wants to be able to connect with his followers someday by launching his own Instagram page.
Considering how Source Music may have eliminated all of their male trainees, there are mixed opinions from the netizens.
"Oh, we need to be on the move, but it's going to work."
"If you are out of Source Music, you will eventually grow and bloom in a different company."
Others claim they had honestly expected the success of Kim HyeonBin and thought that it might have been smarter to transfer him to Big Hit Entertainment after the acquisitions. Some still hope Kim HyeonBin the best after departing the company.
Some have thought that getting rid of all their male trainees would have been faster for Source Music since they have no desire to make their appearance any time soon. This could also have been the wiser choice for trainees under so many agencies to take their chances, rather than waste their time.
Generally, it looks like many are saddened in seeing Kim HyeonBin leave Source Music. Perhaps soon, we shall be able to hear some great news from him!
