TWICE has fancy news!
The girl group held a press conference live on April 28 for their official YouTube documentary show, "TWICE: Seize the Light."
TWICE's leader Jihyo announced at the end of the series, "We're making a big comeback on June 1 at 6 p.m. KST!"
The participants then moved on to reveal one letter of the time opening track titles, and Jihyo announced the song's title "More & More."
It was reported earlier this month the girl group is gearing up for their comeback. A representative communicated with Hankook Ilbo from JYP Entertainment, "TWICE is getting prepared to shoot the video for the song for their new album. The details of their return schedule are still being addressed, and once they're set, we'll announce them."
JYP Entertainment established TWICE in 2015. They're currently the all-time successful and highest-selling Korean girl group. There are nine members in the band that consists of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu.
The 2015 television show Sixteen founded TWICE, and a television show organized to pick its members. The band premiered with the extended play (EP) "The Story Begins" on October 20, 2015.
In 2016, TWICE gained notoriety with their song "Cheer Up" The song plotted on the Gaon Digital Chart at no. 1, and has become the year's greatest-performing single. At two big music awards ceremonies - Melon Music Awards and Mnet Asian Music Awards - it has received "Song of the Year."
Their corresponding single "TT," from their third EP "Twicecoaster: Lane 1" reported four consecutive weeks for the top place. The EP was the top-selling 2016 K-pop girl band song, distributing 350,852 copies at year-end. Twice has produced more than 1.2 million copies of their four EPs and special album throughout 19 months of their debut.
The band formally made its debut under Warner Music Japan in Japan on June 28, 2017, with the official launch of their first greatest hits album titled # Twice.
The album made a splash to no. 2 on the Oricon Albums Ranking, which is seven days marketed 136,157 copies, Japan's biggest first-week record sales of a K-pop artist in two years.
It was accompanied in October by the launching of the first original Japanese maxi single called "One More Time." With over 250,000 units sold, Twice has become the first Korean girl band to achieve the Music Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) Platinum certificate in the same year for both albums and CD release.
Twice launched a rebrand of & Twice on February 5, 2020, adding a new track named "Swing," along with a new version of the "Fake & True" music video title "The Truth Game."
Initially held at the KSPO Dome in Seoul on March 7 and 8, 2020, a concert encore entitled the "World Tour Twicelights Finale" was eventually scrapped amid fears about the coronavirus pandemic outbreak.
On February 24, the band was reported to have signed with Republic Records as part of JYP Entertainment's alliance with the company for advertising in the United States.
