YG Entertainment Gives Update Regarding BLACKPINK's Comeback + Fans Are Outraged!

YG Entertainment is providing both good and unfortunate news for fans of BLACKPINK.

In an article with the subject "About the full-length album of BLACKPINK," YG Entertainment clarified that the members were already recording and preparing more than ten new tracks for their first full album. They are planning to drop a pre-launch track song in June, and they'll release a second new track either in July or August.

Then, YG dropped heart-stopping news that BLINKs have all been waiting for: the girls' complete album will be released and launched in September.

And so, while BLINKs would have to wait for the official full-length album for four more months, they would still receive releases in June and July. Check back for updates on the return of BLACKPINK!

See the official announcement of YG Entertainment below:

"Hello, this is YG Entertainment.

First of all, I am deeply grateful to the fans who always support and love BLACKPINK. I want to briefly tell you about BLACKPINK's plan for this year's activities and more.

After a long period of music work, I finished recording more than 10 BLACKPINK songs in total, completed the first regular album work.

BLACKPINK's first departure in 2020 is to announce the opening title song in June. We are currently working on music video shots and choreographed exercises.

The second song will be released in a special form around 7th and 8th of August. Please note that we cannot tell you all yet about the internal situation.

We plan to release BLACKPINK's first regular album later in September. As long as it's the first regular album, it has been released in three stages, with more content and more on stage.

We want to create opportunities for our fans more often than ever.

On May 29th, BLACKPINK announced the release of Lady Gaga's new song "Sour Candy." YG Entertainment is the world's largest music group by 2020, with Universal Music to make a bigger leap for BLACKPINK.

We will assure you all that we will work hard with many global projects for the girl band.

To prepare for the comeback, we ask the fans to be patient and look forward to each of the members of BLACKPINK, cheer and encourage them to wear their beads.

Thank you!"

Many BLINKS, however, are outraged by this announcement of YG Entertainment, with the terms trending dominantly on Twitter, "July or August."

Mixed opinions and emotions are being conveyed on different social media platforms regarding this comeback update.

Below are the various responses of BLINKs about this announcement.

"'Blinks are never satisfied and always complaining' f**k that. We waited for a whole year & a month for content. I'm happy we're finally getting something but one song next month, then another in July or August, & then full album on sept? Bold of y'all to believe yg."

"So YG is planning to release a song in June, a song in either July or August and then the official album in September?? Like what?!? He's basically giving three comebacks for Blackpink in the one album because he doesn't care at all, I'm so sick of this crap...."

"They're not even sure when the second single will be released, either July or August... Wtf? The pinks will celebrate their 4th anniversary without a full album. Loudly crying face. YOU HAD ONE JOB, AND YOU COULDN'T DO IT RIGHT, you're so incompetent @ygent_official!!!!"

"Black pinks schedule could've gone:

may - sour candy collab

June - comeback

July or august - rosé solo

September - Lisa or jisoo solo

November - 2nd comeback

December - the last solo"

Aside from the frustration, BLINKs even expressed how deeply disappointed they are with the managing label of BLACKPINK, also trending the hashtag #YG_WORST_COMPANY.

"It hurts because we care. Loudly crying face Whether you're an OT4 or a solo stan, let everyone freely express their frustrations today. We're all affected here. This is just too much. I'm tired. Broken hearted

@ygofficialblink #YG_WORST_COMPANY"

"Sorry, girls, for not getting a better treatment from that trash company. #YG_WORST_COMPANY"

"GET BLACKPINK OUT OF THIS COMPANY! #YG_WORST_COMPANY"
