EXO's Baekhyun set another achievement!
On May 25, Baekhyun has been announced to have already sold over 730,000 pre-orders of his second mini-album, "Delight!" Set to be released on this day, the male singer once again proved his influence and power as a solo artist.
In particular, the EXO's main vocalist, who debuted as a solo artist in July 2019 with his first solo album, "City Lights," crossed 500,000 sales, which was indeed a massive achievement for a solo artist in the K-pop industry, and was the first for a soloist to do so in 15 years. His work and efforts lead him to become the best solo artist in 2019, ranking first in 66 regions in iTunes around the world and topping various charts with his track, "UN Village."
Due to this, fans of the male idol, as well as the K-pop enthusiasts, are paying attention to the kind of impact and effect Baehyun is about to showcase with his heavily-anticipated comeback stage, almost a year after his solo debut.
Meanwhile, regarding the details of his comeback, Baekhyun is set to release his new album "Delight," which consists of seven colorful moods, including the title track "Candy?," "Are U Ridin?," "Bungee," "Underwater," "Poppin," "Ghost," and "Love Again. Also, the album comes into three different versions: Cinnamon, Honey, and Mint.
Further, the music video for the title song "Candy" will be released simultaneously on YouTube and Naver TV SMTOWN channels on the 25th. And since "Candy" is a witty R&B song that compares Baekhyun's infinite charm to various flavors of candy, you'll be able to see a hip performance featuring Baekhyun's confident attitude.
In a recent video, Baekhyun revealed the reason he chose "Candy" as his main track, saying, "I want to showcase more of my dancing skills."
With this, it's expected that his new track will be featuring more of Baekhyun as a dancer, and EXO-Ls are all for it!
Recently, the male idol also teased his fans with an exciting spoiler about his comeback stage, revealing that they should anticipate his stage as he's about to change some of the dance steps in every performance. Through these changes, Baekhyun will bring a fun and different experience to the viewers, making them focus and see more of the details of his side as an excellent performer.
Going back to his pre-order sales, EXO-Ls are looking forward to the possibility of EXO's Baekhyun to become a million-seller soloist, which, if it happens, he will be the first solo artist to do so in 19 years.
On the other hand, soloist Baekhyun will also host his comeback live broadcast, "Baekhyun's Candy Shop," through Naver's V Live using the EXO channel at 5:00 p.m. KST, an hour before the release of "Delight."
This broadcast will serve as a countdown with fans, communicating with his supporters around the world, and it is also expected that Baekhyun will be sharing more information and hints about his comeback album, stories about working on his tracks, and a Q&A session with EXO-Ls.
