EXO's maknae Sehun might be making his big-screen movie debut soon! The idol is reportedly considering the lead role in the upcoming movie "Pirates 2," according to his agency SM Entertainment.
According to multiple sources on June 9, Tuesday, Sehun is positively considering joining the cast as one of the main characters of "Pirates 2."
In 2018, he starred in the webtoon-based drama, "Dokgo Rewind." And if he takes the role in "Pirates" sequel, he will be the sixth EXO member to venture into film acting, following D.O, Chanyeol, Suho, Lay, and Xiumin.
"Pirates 2" is the sequel to the smash-hit 2014 movie "The Pirates," which attracted over eight million viewers. The first film followed a band of pirates and a group of bandits as they race to catch a grey whale that swallowed the royal stamp.
SM Entertainment confirmed that the idol is highly considering taking on the character, saying, "Sehun is positively considering the role after being proposed to star as the main character of the movie."
Sehun made his debut in the entertainment industry as a member of the mega-star K-pop group EXO in 2012. In 2019, he debuted with fellow member Chanyeol in the sub-unit EXO-SC. He has been a cast member of Netflix's "Busted!" since 2018.
