Fun fact! Half of the group are foreigners, with Lisa hailing from Thailand and Rosé born in New Zealand and raised in Australia. Member Jennie was born in Gangnam, Korea, but studied abroad in New Zealand.
9. Apink
Apink debuted back in 2011 under Play M Entertainment. The group's total album sales are: 1,018,002.
They originally debuted with seven members but in 2013, Play M Entertainment announced Hong Yoo-kyung would be leaving the group due to educational schedules.
8. T-ARA
T-ARA debuted under MBK Entertainemtn in 2009. The group's total album sales are: 1,098,067.
T-ARA is one of the most K-Pop groups in China. Despite this, the group has been on an indefinite hiatus since January of 2018 with no signs of a reunion anytime soon.
7. Red Velvet
Red Velvet, SM Entertainment's youngest girl group, debuted back in 2014 with "Happiness". They originally debuted as four with members Irene, Wendy, Seulgi, and Joy. In 2015, they added member Yeri.

6. IZ*ONE

5. Fin.K.L
Fin.K.L is one of the oldest K-Pop groups on this list and debuted way back in 1998, making them K-Pop veterans. The group's total album sales are: 2,158,698.
The group was originally on hiatus since 2005 after releasing their single album "Fine Killing Liberty". They reunited on 2019 with their own variety show and released an album with all their best songs. The album also included an original song called "Just Like The Song That Remains".
4. S.E.S
S.E.S is the oldest group on the list and debuted a year before Fin.K.L, in 1997 under EM Entertainment. They were dubbed as the female H.O.T. The group officially disbanded in 2002 follow unsuccessful contract renewal negotions with members Bada and Eugene. In 2016, the group reunited for their 20th anniversary. They have been inactive since 2017.

3. KARA
KARA debuted in 2007 under DSP Media. Despite their success, the group disbanded in 2016 after the members decided not to renew their contracts. Though members Gyuri and Youngji had mentioned they might reunite, there has been no signs of any updates. In 2019, former member Goo Hara sadly passed away. She was 28 years old.

2. Girls' Generation
Girls' Generation, at their peak, was dubbed "The Nation's Girl Group" and debuted back in 2007 under SM Entertainment. Originally nine members, member Jessica was dismissed from the group and the company in 2014 for personal reasons. Members Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun left SM Entertainment in 2017 after not renewing their contracts, but they are still members of Girls' Generation.
