Korean netizens and K-pop fans are sharing photos of THE BOYZ's Juyeon, with many saying that he is slowly becoming their favorite male idol nowadays.
Juyeon is the lead dancer, vocalist, and visual of THE BOYZ. Following his and the group's appearance on Mnet's "Road to Kingdom," he has been generating buzz from local fans, praising his visuals.
The idol's looks have been compared to a number of idols, including NU'EST's Hwang Minhyun...
... NCT's Jaehyun...
... and H&D's Lee Hangyul!
Juyeon was born in Gwangju, South Korea, and is a 1998-liner. The idol was cast into the company while he was on a trip with his family. He was watching a performance one night when a casting director came up to him and handed him his business card. The rest is history!
In the group, Juyeon is known for his dance and flexibility, even able to do the splits while wearing jeans. He is also the group's representative Japanese speaker and knows basic English.
Despite his dark and cool looks, fellow THE BOYZ member Q revealed that Juyeon is actually deceptively innocent and very gullible. He's a man of two sides, as many have said that on stage, he oozes charisma.
Prior to his debut, Juyeon modeled for Seoul Fashion Week 2017 alongside fellow THE BOYZ member Younghoon, who is also one of the visuals of the groups. Look like his visuals have been acknowledged even then! That same year, he appeared in Melody Day's music video "You Seem Busy."
THE BOYZ is slowly gaining more recognition following their appearance on "Road to Kingdom," and netizens are excitedly waiting for what Juyeon and the group as a whole have in store for the future.
THE BOYZ debuted in 2017 under Cre.ker Entertainment, originally with twelve members. Prior to their debut, members had already had appearances on the media. Kevin was introduced as a contestant on "Kpop Star 6" and release an OST for the drama "Saimdance, Light's Diary" in April of 2017. Sunwoo was a contestant on "High School Rapper" in January 2017.
In March 2017, Ju Haknyeon participate in "Produce 101 Season 2," making the finals and finishing at 19th place. Younghoon is notably known for being the male lead of I.O.I's music video for "Whatta Man."
The group was known pre-debut as "Cre.kerz". On August 2017, THE BOYZ filmed a reality show called "Flower Snack" and released a pre-debut single called "I'm Your Boy."
On October of 2019, member Hwall left THE BOYZ due to health issues. The group continues to promote as eleven members.
From March to June of 2020, THE BOYZ competed on Mnet's "Road to Kingdom" against ONF, VERIVERY, PENTAGON, TOO, Golden Child, and ONEUS. The group won first place and secured a spot in Mnet's upcoming program "Kingdom."
They are the only group from "Road to Kingdom" to do so, as they had the highest number of points throughout the whole show as well as the finale.
