Seven years ago, BTS announced the name of their official fandom. ARMY, which stands for "Adorable Representative and MCs for Youths," was born, making July 9 the BTS ARMY Day. Today, ARMYs all over the world are celebrating their 7-year-long journey with the group.

The BTS ARMY is one of the strongest fandoms out there. They've been with the group for all their ups and downs. Whenever there are rumors or false reports about the boys, the ARMYs defend them and fight for them. In turn, BTS has also always made sure that they show their gratefulness towards the ARMYs. When the pandemic started, they even made online fan meetings and vlogs to stay in touch with the ARMYs and keep them updated.

It's also worth noting how the fandom grew its family in the past seven years. What started as little community now has members from various countries all over the globe!

This year, as they celebrate the ARMYs celebrate their 7th anniversary, the fandom has scheduled fun-filled activities.

1. Change Phone's Wallpaper To Purple Or Gradient Purple And Post It On Twitter With #ARMYDAYISCOMING

On July 8, #BTSARMYFOREVER and #ARMYDAY went trending on Twitter as the hashtags were used to caption the tons of photos uploaded showing the different arm sketches of the ARMY logo.

3. Share Personal Stories About How BTS Made An Impact With Your Lives

On July 9, Twitter was once again flooded by ARMYs. This time, the #IMPACT_OF_BANGTAN went viral. On the actual BTS ARMY Day, the ARMYs decided to spread love and positivity by sharing how BTS has made an impact on their lives. Such a loving and positive fandom, go ARMYs!

2. Change Phone Wallpaper To Anything Related To BTS

Every July 9, the ARMYs change their phone wallpapers to anything related to BTS. Some creative ARMYs even make their sketches and graphic designs to share with the entire members of the fandom.

3. Participate In The ARMY Quiz Day

On July 10, an ARMY quiz day will be held. This will be a series of questions and answers amongst ARMYs. Usually, ARMYs will post questions on Twitter together with the #FUNWITHARMY, and then netizens can answer them. Although the quiz is scheduled on the 10th, some are already posting their questions online!

4. Commemorate BTS Concerts' Purple Ocean

ARMYs are invited to share BTS's purple ocean (light sticks) photos from various concerts with the #PURPLEOCEANDAY.

5. Join The ARMY Selca Day

Last but not least, the ARMY Selca Day. In Korea, the term they use for a selfie is selca. The BTS ARMY selca day is usually done every 1st Tuesday of the month. Yes, it's a monthly event wherein ARMYs can showcase their creativity by posting photos of themselves and their bias. They can either copy their bias's expressions or make a graphic depending on the theme they choose.

This activity aims to show how much ARMYs love their biases and how confident they are as well. Every 1st Tuesday of the month, the #ARMYSELCADAY almost always trends on Twitter!
