Sistar was first formed in 2010 by the Korean entertainment agency Starship Entertainment. After a year, the group made their debut with the album "So Cool." Their second album followed, "Give It To Me," which was released in 2013. "So Cool," which was Sistar's fourth single topped the Gaon Digital Music Charts and as the Billboard Korea K-pop Hot 100 Singles Chart, which started a streak of nine consecutive number one song before their disbandment in 2017.

Girls' Day was formed in 2010 by Dream T Entertainment, about the same time Sistar was also formed. The group consists of Minah, Sojin, Hyeri, and Yura.

Girls' Generation or SNSD is a South Korean girl group under SM Entertainment. The group started as a nine-piece idol group with Taeyeon, Tiffany, Sunny, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Yoona, Sooyoung, Seohyun, and Jessica. However, in September 2014, Jessica left the group. Due to their popularity, the group has been labeled "The Nation's Girl Group" in South Korea. 

SHINee

SHINee is also under SM Entertainment and was formed in 2008. They quickly rose to fame and were labeled as the "Princes of K-pop" up to this Day. The group had five members, namely Onew, Minho, Key, Taemin, and Jonghyun. However, Jonghyun died in December of 2017.

Super Junior is another popular idol group formed in 2005 by SM Entertainment. They have gained popularity not just in Korea but globally! The media has dubbed the group as the "King of Hallyu Wave" because of their contribution to the K-pop scene. 

TVXQ

TVXQ, which stands for Tong Vfang Xien Qi, is a pop duo composed of Max Changmin and U-Know Yunho. They are also referred to by the foreign media as "DBSK," an acronym for their Korean names Dong Bang Shin Ki.

Sechs Kies is one of the pillars of K-pop. Being formed in 1997, they belong to the first generation of idols and are considered one of the most successful boy groups in K-pop's history. The group's primary members were Lee Jai-jin,  Eun Ji-won, Kim Jae-duck, Jang Su-won, and Kang Sung-hoon. However, Sung-hoon left the group in 2018.

Red Velvet is another popular girl group handled by SM Entertainment. They launched in 2014 with their debut track "Happiness." Initially, the group has four members, Irene, Wendy, Seulgi, and Joy. However, Yeri was added to the group in March 2015  after they released "Ice Cream Cake." 

Meanwhile, JTBC's Knowing Brothers is a famous South Korean reality-variety show that airs every Saturday. The hosts and guests all wear uniforms as the show mimicks a classroom setting. Since its launch in 2015, KNowing Brothers has been popular amongst Koreans and International fans. The show is even available on the leading streaming platform Netflix.
