On July 15, BTS's fourth Japanese album “Map Of The Soul: 7 -The Journey-” was officially released. The album features thirteen songs including many Japanese versions of the group's popular Korean tracks. Additionally, two original Japanese songs written by Jungkook maknae were also included, "Stay Gold" and "Your Eyes Tell."
Last Monday, July 13, the group performed "Your Eyes Tell" for the first time live on Japan Count Down TV! You can watch it here. The song was made as a part of the OST of an upcoming Japanese film. Meanwhile, just a day after the boys performed it on JCDT, the “Map Of The Soul: 7 -The Journey-” made it to the No. 1 spot of Oricon's half-year album sales chart with an estimated sales of about 448 thousand copies. This is by far the highest sales the group made for "1st Day Japanese Album Sales" on Oricon. The group's "Face Yourself" Japanese album only sold around 190 thousand copies on its release day in 2018. You can watch BTS's "Stay Gold" music video here:
Furthermore, the group has also sold more than 225 thousand copies on China's Netease Cloud with "Stay Gold."
