MONSTA X is claiming global popularity as "Wish On The Same Sky" track tops Japanese Tower Records in the first half of the year.

According to the boy band's label, Starship Entertainment, the Japanese single is ranked as the "K-Pop Singles Top 10 on the First Half of 2020" by Japanese Tower Records. The track was released in April and instantly ranked No. 1 on the aforementioned chart. According to Tower Records, the ballad caught the attention of many Japanese listeners.

In particular, the single is MONSTA X's medium ballad and a track that expresses warm and soft melodies along with the mesmerizing vocals of the boys, which was loved by local fans at the time of its release. Tower Records' total single weekly chart ranked it as No. 1 for a total of three weeks right after its debut, and it gained huge popularity as it ranked No. 2 on the Oricon chart, No. 2 on the Billboard Japan weekly chart, and No. 7 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart. Based on this, MONSTA X ranked first in Tower Records' "2020 First Half Chart K-Pop Single Top 10," thus claiming off their global fame.

Moreover, MONSTA X, which swept the top ranks of the charts by ranking first in "Shoot Out" and second in "Alligator" in the first half of 2019, charted on K-POP singles TOP 10, has shown constant growth as it has achieved good results even with its released singles. In addition to this, the continuous production of amplified melodies arouses music lovers' interest in Japan.

MONSTA X was formed through the survival show, "No Mercy," and was launched by Starship Entertainment and Mnet in December of 2014.

Earlier this year, MONSTA X released an online film series called, "MONSTA X's Day with TwoTuckBebe" in partnership with TwoTuckGom. The boys playfully babysit a 5-year old boy who wished to have his bears become real ones.

Meanwhile, MONSTA X recently released their mini-album "FANTASIA X" and title track "FANTASIA," released in May and completed their successful album activities. Adding to the band's continuous success is claiming a spot in the Top 40 Billboard's Pop Song Chart based on Top 40 radio stations in the United States of America where the track, "You Can't Hold My Heart," is one of the most listened songs.

MONSTA X had released "ALL ABOUT LUV" in February of this year with its all-English album.
