BLACKPINK's Choreography Video For "How You Like That" Surpasses 100 Million Views

The moment BLACKPINK dropped "How You Like That," it instantly soared to charts domestically and overseas and became an international sensation like a flash. This is even evident as their choreography video has just surpassed 100 million views on YouTube!

On Tuesday, July 21, BLACKPINK's "How You Like That" dance choreography clip clinched the milestone at 6:45 in the morning KST on the video-streaming site. It was released at 9 a.m. KST on July 6. It is more than twice as fast as the period than the choreography video for BLACKPINK's another mega-hit "Kill This Love" has achieved.

The choreography video for "Kill This Love" (2019) reached 100 million views in 57 days, while the choreography video for "DDU-DU DDU-DU" (2018) took about three months to reach the stellar feat. Although it is rare for choreography videos to record millions of views on YouTube, BLACKPINK's new songs show a steeper trend.

The same goes for global music charts and music video views. As soon as the song "How You Like That" was released, it "All-Kills" six major charts in Korea, followed by topping the weekly chart for three consecutive weeks and winning 10 music broadcasting titles. It also topped iTunes' 64 countries and ranked second on the Spotify Global Top 50 chart, breaking K-pop's highest ranking. The world's two most prominent pop charts: Billboard Hot 100, ranked 33rd on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and the U.K.'s Official Singles Top 100, breaking the all-time high ranking of K-pop girl groups.

The music video for "How You Like That" broke various world records. On the first day of its release, it recorded 86.3 million views, making it the Guinness World Records for a total of five categories, including "Most views of YouTube videos in 24 hours." Since then, it has recorded 100 million views in about 32 hours, 200 million views in seven days, and 300 million views in 21 days, the shortest time in YouTube music video history.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK's "How You Like That" is a hip-hop song with a strong impression of the rising vocals and explosive drop-part twists as emotions change. As the song progresses, it is loved by music fans with the message in a powerful beat that adds, "Let's soar high in any situation."

Recently, the BLACKPINK's Jisoo, Rose, Jennie, and Lisa were seen on their latest episodes on their vlog, called 24/365 with BLACKPINK. Contrary to their fiery attitude in "How You Like That" and their previous releases, their bubbly personalities shine on their reality show, revealing more of who they are to their viewers. Seeing the girls bond as friends give a strong impression among fans that they get along well.

Congratulations, BLACKPINK!
