[Trigger Warning/Content Warning: Bullying and Suicide]
The ILUV members have decided to sue former member Shin Minah after she claimed she was bullied and harassed by the members since she was a trainee.
The agency had denied all of her claims, saying they were shocked by the alleged accusations. Shin Minah refuted this with more accusations against the company and her members.
WKS Entertainment now revealed that the members of ILUV along with the agency have sued Minah and will be taking her to court for defamation, saying, "ILUV members Seoyoon, Cui Xiang, Jiwon, Jiho, Gahyun, and WKS Entertainment have sued Shin Mina for spreading false information and for defamation."
Earlier in July, Shin Minah claimed she was being bullied by her members and was left traumatized after the members forced her to watch their videos having intercourse with their boyfriends. She revealed in a message to fans that she had been bullied by the members, who she has been living with for six months. Shin Minah claimed that they would curse her out, sexually harass her, and degrade her.
She further went on to say that her members had taken videos of them having sexual intercourse with their boyfriends and had forced Minah to watch it, leaving her traumatized.
She posted a video to her YouTube channel where she revealed she had tried to take her own life. In the video, she said she went to Hang River and had thought of committing suicide but was saved by a police officer.
In another video, Minah revealed she had gotten herself tested for COVID-19 after passing out on the bus. She said that she suddenly felt pain and couldn't breathe, only feeling numbness in her heart and body. She went on to say that she had tested negative for COVID-19 and was told by the doctor that she had a breakdown due to depression, panic disorder, and insomnia. Though not explicitly stated, she revealed that she was going through these things due to the bullying.
In a previous Instagram post, Shin Minah has stated that she is telling the truth and that she has evidence. She has also shared a YouTube video with evidence that she was bullied by the members.
Shin Minah has stated that she too has a lawyer and is preparing a lawsuit against the company, who she claims had knowledge of the bullying she allegedly dealt with. She revealed on Instagram that is receiving psychological treatment but was recently rushed to the hospital.
It is not confirmed if she had filed her lawsuit.
Shin Minah debuted in 2019 with ILUV. The group is now preparing for a redebut as BOTOPASS. The group will include more members that were not part of ILUV. Their company, WKS ENE, is currently releasing the members' profiles.
