These Were The Horrible Living Conditions BLACKPINK Had as Trainees

BLACKPINK recently released a new episode of their reality show, "24/365 with BLACKPINK", to YouTube. There, the members reminisced about the hardships they faced during their trainee days and all the horrible living conditions they endured at the time.

Jennie revealed that group was very poor at the time, as they had no income. Their living expenses were all covered by the company at the time. Jennie revealed that they ended up eating less since they didn't have money.

Jennie said, "We didn't have much money back then. So we pretty much lived on eggs and strawberry jam. We would always have scrambled eggs and strawberry jam at least once a day." The girls expressed pity over what their past selves had to endure.

Jennie went on to expose more of their past life. There, she revealed that they basically lived with cockroaches. Rosé and Jisoo confirmed this, with Rosé even saying they lived with huge centipedes. Jisoo would say that they had trouble catching all of them; every time they caught one, there would be another right beside it.

Jisoo then went on to reveal that brave and courageous Lisa was the one who would catch them with her bare hands.

Despite those hardships, BLACKPINK endured it all and are now one of the biggest and most successful Korean girl groups in the game. Gone are the days they lived on eggs and with bugs; now, the girls live in a nice apartment with their own rooms. They are even ambassadors of luxury brands! BLACKPINK has truly rose against their hardships.

They were recognized by Forbes Korea as being one of the most powerful celebrities in 2019. They were also included in the Forbes' 30 Under 30 Asia. They are also the most followed group on Spotify an the most subscribed music group on YouTube.
