BTS V Breaks 3 World Records With One Simple Tweet

On August 16, Sunday, BTS's V shared a mirror selfie of him as he was getting his hair styled. The idol was showing off his new hairstyle while wearing an expensive-looking gray jacket embroidered with black roses, and holding the Samsung Galaxy S20. The tweet immediately garnered attraction for the idol's amazing looks and even broke three Twitter records!

Not bad for a tweet that just says "Hi Army," huh?

V became the fastest Korean solo artist to reach 1 million likes on Twitter, with him getting the likes in just one hour and 29 minutes! Worldwide, he is the third-fastest individual to garner that amount of likes.

He also broke Harry Styles' record as the fastest artist in the world to reach two million likes on Twitter! The One Direction member previously held that record, earning two million likes in 11 hours and 30 minutes. V, who broke the record, got two million likes in just nine hours and 52 minutes!

Lastly, V's Tweet became the fastest tweet by any artist in Twitter history to surpass one million retweets! The BTS member's tweet got one million retweets in just 23 hours and nine minutes.

Additionally, even non-fans of BTS and V have started paying attention to the idol. People started going crazy for V's visuals worldwide, with some Twitter fanbases of other celebrities taking time away from their biases to praise the idol and his visuals. Even normal personal accounts of everyday people have taken the time to appreciate V's visuals, despite not knowing who he is!

Skincare brand Sunday Riley has also praised BTS's V, replying to the tweet and complimenting V on his glow. It seems even brands can't get enough of the idol!

The official Samsung Mobile Twitter also shared an article about the BTS effect, and how V's selfies and tweet stirred renewed interest in the Samsung Galaxy S20. In the article, it mentioned how just that selfie of V holding the phone caused many on Weibo to ask about what phone he's holding, showing Samsung's popularity rising in China.
