YG Entertainment released another teaser poster for BLACKPINK's upcoming collaboration single, "Ice Cream," featuring pop star Selena Gomez. The K-pop star, who reportedly suffered from ankle injury to due excessive activities, is not showing signs of the condition in the image teaser.
Jennie's ankle injury
In the prologue episode of "24/365 with BLACKPINK" vlog, Jennie revealed that she hurt her ankle due to exercise constraint. She was seen holding scratches during her launching with her eyewear collection, Jentle Monster. It created a huge worry among BLINKs and felt that she must be struggling since they were about to have a comeback and were preparing for their pre-release hit, "How You Like That."
Netizen's spotted an ankle brace in one of her recent photos and a lot of BLINKs sent her words of encouragement. Others mentioned that she should consider taking care of her health first and don't go extreme to attain swift recovery.
The BLACKPINK effect
Meanwhile, the "Ice Cream" teaser photos of BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Jennie are currently trending on various SNS, being the fashion icons they are. The girls' colorful and knitted OOTDs sold out minutes after the release of their photos! Hence, the "BLACKPINK effect" is experienced once more, proving that the ladies are a force to be reckoned with.
According to Fluffy on its official IG, an independent UK-based crochet brand, the item that Jisoo wore in her "Ice Cream" teaser is currently out of stock. Aside from that, the brand mentioned that they are grateful to be part of BLACKPINK's music project and are excited to see their crafts soon.
BLACKPINK x Selena Gomez's "Ice Cream"
As promised by YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK's comeback will be massive. Selena Gomez's participation is greatly anticipated not just by BLINKs but, of course, by Selenators. As announced, "Ice Cream" is scheduled to be released on August 28.
A teaser video was also released showing the video call between BLACKPINK and Selena. The latter mentioned that she is happy to work with the quartet as she is also a fan. Likewise, BLACKPINK also expressed their gratefulness for working with the international pop star, and are elated to finally release the collaborative track.
