More and more attention are shifting towards BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez's much-anticipated collaboration.
After YG Entertainment announced Selena Gomez as BLACKPINK's "Ice Cream" featured artist, everyone seems to be going crazier as fans wait for the new music's arrival. And as expected, sales of the brands featured in the teasers are skyrocketing and selling like hot cakes!
Brands like the UK-based Fluffy and Serendipity Ice Cream are currently experiencing overwhelming return of investments.
BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez's Serendipity Ice Cream
Fans were in frenzy after Selena Gomez uploaded a video wherein she introduced her favorite ice cream brand, along with exciting news about what makes it special. On August 24, she uploaded a video of her on her official Instagram account, enjoying a pint tub of Serendipity sweets and said that it is the newest flavor and that it is "heaven."
She wrote it her caption, "I grew up going to the iconic @serendipity3nyc restaurant so I couldn't be more excited to join the ownership team. In honor of the release of ICE CREAM with @blackpinkofficial , I created Cookies and Cream Remix... made with pink vanilla ice cream as a nod to the girls!"
Instantly, fans got excited about the dessert, although it is not yet officially launched in stores because it will be up for grabs on the same day of the collaboration song release. As a result, curious netizens are now inquiring about where or how to purchase one.
What made Selenators thrilled is that Selena announced that she'll be an investor of Serendipity 3!
The brand's flagship store in New York was established in 1954 by Stephen Bruce. Being a powerhouse ice cream brand in the United States, icons such as Andy Warhol, Marilyn Monroe, and Jacqueline Kennedy were regulars of the ice cream parlor.
Meanwhile, Fluffy crochet brand that Jisoo and Jennie wore in their individual "Ice Cream" teaser images, released by YG Entertainment, instantly sold out upon the release of the posters. The two separately set the online realm afire with the crocheted OOTD, proving their "BLACKPINK effect", and setting new trends for fans to copy one way or another.
The UK-based clothing brand announced that minutes after BLACKPINK's teaser poster was launched, their stocks sold out and will re-stock the soonest.
Three more days left before BLACKPINK x Selena Gomez "Ice Cream" collab takes over the music scene, but BLINKs are still presently expecting two more posters: Lisa's and Rose's. The quartet has gone through an extended hiatus and the impatience of their fandom before finally returning to claim their throne with the explosive "How You Like That", and they are slated to meet their fans again with another pre-release.
Stay tuned for more updates!
