The group also performed "Dyanamite" for the first time ever on the VMAs. The boys filmed with a green screen back home in South Korea, as they were unable to fly to the United States due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. They performed in front of numerous backgrounds, such as the Brooklyn Bridge, Times Sqaure, and New York City's full skyline. For the finale, they performed with fireworks illuminating the night sky.
