The Korean Cultural Center is proud to host the first edition of "Hallyu Con 2020 Live in London!"
A one-day event will be held on October 4 (Sun), aiming to commemorate and showcase the Hallyu or the Korean wave in various forms.The online concert will be broadcast directly from London via live stream at 3 p.m. via KKCUK's official YouTube channel @kccuk.
Despite its online characteristics, the festival will be the ultimate celebration of the Korean pop culture phenomenon for-- Korean cultural enthusiasts and K-Pop fans! The event will be free of charge, and people from all over the world will be able to participate in the live stream.
The event will be presented by two of Britain's most famous K-Pop YouTubers, Kai Mastro and Lexi Marie, and will feature performances by Korean idol groups ACE, VAV, Alexa and AlphaBAT; R&B and hip-hop artists PLT (Member Morty and Jinwoo), singer Seung Yeon Son, indie artist ID: Earth and Turning Table and Folk Ensemble Micro Universe.
Their performances will be complemented by innovative experiences that show different aspects of Korean culture, including fashion, film, dance and beauty. The Korean beauty segment will be presented by Maree Kinder, founder and CEO of Beauty & Seoul, One of UK's leading beauty product supplier.
"The festival will provide an opportunity to introduce a new aspect of Korea to UK audiences and reveal how Korea has become a cultural hub connecting people around the world", said Lee Jung-woo, head of Korean Cultural Center UK. The program will include many activities aimed at entertaining and entertaining the audience. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
A fashion show highlighting popular Korean clothing trends loved by enthusiasts all around the world as well as introducing some of the brands that bring them to life;
- Hallyu discussion, challenges and games with K-Pop influencers such as Johnny, Raffy, Margarita, Gee and Jessica, as well as the presenters' Kai and Lexie;
- Talk about the globalisation of Korean movies (such as Parasite), dramas (such as Kingdom) and the impact platforms such as Netflix have in this process;
- K-Pop dance demonstration by worldwide famous cover groups such as UJJN, Risin, IlovedanceNY, amongst others;
- Korean food exhibition, and much more.
In light of the COVID-19 damage from the global community, Korean Con 2020 Live in London will also join hands with the Children and Families Across Boarders (CFAB) across the border of the Uk charity to raise donations for people in need.
Viewers will be able to donate on the day of the event through the link to KCCUK's YouTube channel (Livestream period), and the entire proceeds will be used to help support children and family CFAB.
