Two of the most prominent main visuals of K-pop, who are also known as the OG "Girl Group Centers" of the music scene, are now ready to spice up the small screen as they return to their activities as actresses!
This upcoming October 17, former Miss A Suzy, who is also known as the "Nation's First love," will be coming back on the entertainment industry as the lead star of the new tvN K-drama, titled "Start-Up."
From being a K-pop member and solo singer who also achieved all-kill charts, Suzy who also rose as an outstanding actress after starring in "Dream High", is now set to beat the drama rating charts with tvN's series, starring with Nam Joo Hyuk.
In the drama, Suzy will be playing the role of Seol Dal Mi who entered a startup company in the IT industry as she dreams of becoming like Steve Jobs. She left her university and worked for part-time jobs.
Unlike the sexy image of Bae Suzy as a former member of Miss A, she will be portraying a character with a strong sense of living, perseverance, and competitive spirit as she took on varieties of part-time work.
K-pop and K-drama fans have high anticipation for this project as Suzy always has the charm and attributes to making every project she has a huge hit.
Meanwhile, Krystal Jung, member of the K-pop group f(x), will be having her drama comeback as well on the same day as Suzy, and she is slated to play the lead role of the military-mystery drama "Search."
Krystal plays the role of Lieutenant Son Ye-Rim, a special lease of the Defense Command of CBR. It is one of the people who are deployed to solve the mysterious murder in the Demilitarized Zone on the front line of the play.
The idol will be acting along with Jang Dong Yoon, who will play the role of Koo Dong Jin, his military search troop co-member.
As a girl group member who has been featuring her feminine side who is also the lovely maknae of the group, playing the role of a military character is a huge opportunity for her to improve her image as an actress, as well as to unleash her other potential in the field as well.
As for the preparation, Krystal revealed, "I trained my physical strength by meeting with actual soldiers and talking and learning how to shoot in action school."
