Right at the stroke of midnight on the 6th of October 2020, SEVENTEEN released the official promotion schedule of the group's comeback on all official SNS channels. The words "Sequence of Youth" raised expectations for a bright and refreshing new album. The flickering lights of the moving images inspire interest, while the retro mood stimulates the public's sensibility, raising interest in the group.
The name of the album "Semicolon" is engraved on a sign board which catches the eye at once, reminding one of the Broadway Theatre and the unique charm of musicals.
In particular, 13 retro posters modelled after the SEVENTEEN members under the ever-exciting "COMING SOON" phrase were sequentially brightened, arousing curiosity about the content to be released in the future. Fans are extremely excited about the new looks that the members will feature for the album and the retro visuals that are expected.
In addition, various objects such as film cameras, roll films, game chips, LP boards, quills, and other objects are also on the poster. What each object could symbolise is raising expectations and piquing interest and curiosity more than ever.
ABOUT SEVENTEEN
Seventeen also stylized as SEVENTEEN or SVT, is a South Korean boy band formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2015. The group consists of 13 members divided into three sub-units, each with a different area of specialization: 'Hip-Hop Unit', 'Vocal Unit', and 'Performance Unit'. Seventeen has released three studio albums and seven extended plays.
One of the most special things about this group is that Seventeen is considered a "self-producing" idol group, with the members being actively involved in the song writing, choreographing, and other aspects of the group such as sound mixing, arrangement and production as well. The boys can do it all.
On April 1, 2020, Seventeen released their second Japanese single "Fallin' Flower", which sold more than 400,000 copies in its first week and secured first place on Billboard's Japan Hot 100 Chart.
On May 13, Seventeen released the first instalment of "Hit The Road", a documentary series posted on their YouTube channel. The documentary followed the group behind the scenes during their "Ode to You" tour.
On June 22, Seventeen released their seventh EP Heng:garæ. This album is the group's best-selling album to date, having sold 1,000,000 copies in under a week.
On October 19, Seventeen will release their new special album "Semicolon"! Stay tuned for more updates!
