Korean band NELL will hold their first solo concert this year and fans are overjoyed!
Nell is a South Korean alternative rock band formed in 2001. The band consists of lead vocalist, keyboardist, guitarist Kim Jong Wan, lead guitarist Lee Jae Kyung, bass guitarist Lee Jung Hoon, and drummer Jung Jae Won. The group was named after the film, 'Nell,' starring the incredible Jodie Foster. The band is known for their gloomy and psychedelic sound, and has achieved fame with hits such as "Stay" from 'Let It Rain,' "Thank You" from 'Walk Through Me,' "Good Night" and "Losing Heart" from 'Healing Process' and "Time Walking On Memory" from' Separation Anxiety.'
Their third studio album 'Healing Process' was chosen as one of five best recordings of the year by South Korean critics. Nell's fourth studio album 'Separation Anxiety' was a hit in South Korea, ranking number one in various album charts. On March 22, 2016, it was announced that Nell ended their contract with Woolim Entertainment and set up an independent record label named Space Bohemian. On August 18, 2016, they released their first album with their new label, "C" with the title song Dream Catcher. Nell's Kim Jong Wan also appeared on Suga's mixtape under Agust D, titled 'D-2' and RM's mixtape 'mono.'
Nell will hold THE solo concert "NELL'S SEASON 2020 'LET THE HOPE SHINE IN' "at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, for a total of 3 days from October 23 to 25, 2020. Through this, the brand aims to spread a message of hope and positivity during difficult times.
This performance is the first solo concert held by Nell this year, and it has been 10 months since their last concert 'Nell's Room' in December of last year. As everyone is going through a difficult period, Nell aims to deliver comfort to the listeners who have been going through some tough times and have also been waiting for Nell through this performance.
In this concert, a mobile ticket will enforce the distance seating system and minimize face-to-face contact. The performance production company said about this matter that, "As the health and safety of audiences, artists, and staff are our top priority during the performance period, we will do our best to comply with the government's quarantine guidelines, prevent COVID-19, and conduct a safe performance."
