On October 9, Friday, at 12 NN KST, SM Entertainment unveiled two new remixes of Taemin's hit song "Criminal"!
For the remixes, Taemin has partnered up with the "iScreaM" project. He is part of the fifth volume of the project. The first "Criminal" remix was done in partnership with DJ Minit and features a powerful, electronic twist to the song.
In the second remix, Taemin partnered up with singer-songwriter SUMIN, turning Taemin's "Criminal" into an eccentric new-wave styled song with newtro sounds.
Taemin has released a music video for "Criminal (Minit Remix)" and a visualizer video for "Criminal (SUMIN Remix)". The song is available for streaming on Spotify, Deezer, Pandora, and Apple Music and is available for purchase on iTunes. The song is also available for streaming on all major South Korean streaming platforms.
On July 26, 2020, Taemin revealed through his Instagram account that he was going to release his third full-length Korean-language studio album titled "Never Gonna Dance Again : Act 1" in August with a promotional single titled "2 Kids". The single was released as the prologue to the album and served as a promotional single. The first part of the album was released on September 7 with "Criminal" as the lead single.

His success and influence has led him to be dubbed as te "Idol's idol". In 2009, he debuted as an actor with the MBC comedy-drama "Tae-Hee, Hye-Kyo, Ji-Hyun".
In 2014, he debuted as a soloist. He gained fame as a soloist in 2017 with the song "Move", which was such a hit both domestically and internationally, it was even covered by other artists. In 2019, he debuted as a member of SM Entertainment's male supergroup SuperM.
