The vocal group Sweet Sorrow is going to be collaborating with songstress IU.
Sweet Sorrow is a South Korean male band formed in 2002. Its members consist of In Ho-jin, Song Woo-jin, Kim Young-woo, and Sung Jin-hwan. In 2019 The Barberettes and Sweet Sorrow formed a harmony collab group SBSB. Through the 'Sweet Sorrow lives Ep.14' conducted for 22 days from their official Youtube channel, Sweet Sorrow announced that they would be releasing a new song titled 'Small Room' in collaboration with IU.
Sweet Sorrow meets fans in about 11 months after the regular 5th album PART.1'NEW DAY' released in November last year. In addition to his own songs, IU has also succeeded in collaborating in songs with various artists such as Seong Si-Kyung, Epik High, Zico, and Yoon Hyun-sang, and has emerged as a 'special featured' singer.
On January 3, 2020, it was announced that IU would star in the film Dream alongside Park Seo-Joon. Directed by Lee Byeong-Heon, it will tell the story of people participating in the Homeless World Cup.
For the first time in nine years, IU participated in a soundtrack album with the song "Give You My Heart" for the hit romantic comedy Crash Landing on You. Released on February 15, 2020, it topped the music charts Melon, Genie, Bugs, and Soribada less than three hours after its release. The song debuted at number 71 on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart for the chart issue dated February 9-15, 2020, rising and reaching number one on the following week.
On May 6, 2020, IU released the single "Eight" featuring and produced by BTS's Suga. It follows IU's previous singles "Twenty-three" (2015) and "Palette" (2017), which together comprise her "coming-of-age" series. The song's title derives from the last digit of the Korean age "twenty-eight" of both singers.
In May 2020, she started filming for her first commercial film Dream alongside Park Seo-Joon, a sport-drama directed by Lee Byeong-Heon. On June 19, 2020, IU released the song "Into the I-LAND" as the signal song for Mnet's survival reality show I-Land.
On the day of its release, Sweet Sorrow plans to share various stories about 'Small Room' through 'Sweet Sorrow Live,' a talk show on YouTube. The agency has said, "IU is featured, as well as finishing raised completeness having participated carefully up to the task," he said, "The rich harmonies and tone of IU's Sweet Sorrow sometimes resonate beautifully to a warmer sound to those who live in the present."
Previously, IU and Sweet Sorrow met during IU's guest appearance on their radio show, 'Ten Ten Club.' Sweet Sorrow x IU's "Small Room" will be out this October 29 at 6 PM KST!
