The music video for Koyote's new single 'Delete' has officially been released. This marks the first-ever collaboration of the trio and Lee Hyori. Koyote, also known as KYT, is a South Korean co-ed vocal group consisting of Kim Jong-min, Shin Ji, and Bbaek Ga. The group known for its signature dance and hip hop sound debuted in 1998 with the hit song "Genuine."
Since its debut, Koyote has released ten studio albums, three extended plays, and numerous singles. The group has won several major awards, including five Bonsangs at the Golden Disc Awards, four awards for Best Mixed Group at the Mnet Asian Music Awards, and the Grand Prize at the 2005 KBS Music Awards.
The group has gone through numerous line-up changes over the years, and Shin Ji is the group's only remaining original member. The former members of the group include Cha Seung-min, who left in 2000, Kim Goo, who was removed in 2001, Kim Young-wan, the temporary rapper in 2003, and Jung Myung-hoon was the temporary rapper from 2003-2004.
Lee Hyori, who recently "debuted" again with 'Refund Expedition,' is gaining renewed interest and attention from fans in Korea and abroad for her sustained talent. Dubbed as the "Nation's Fairy" during her Family Outing days, she debuted as a South Korean girl group Fin.K.L but has since become a solo artist. In 2003, she released her debut solo album Stylish, which won several "Artist of the Year" awards. In 2006, Lee Hyori was the highest-paid female singer in South Korea when she signed a Mnet Media contract.
'Delete' is a characteristic retro-style house dance track about deleting or removing an ex-lover's painful memories. With the collaboration of two of the most celebrated acts in the history of K-Pop, this song is a callback, reminiscent of the dance tracks that KOYOTE was originally famous for.
