Kim Hyoyeon is set to come back with a new collaboration song with DJ Raiden!
On October 28, SM Entertainment uploaded two photos on their official SNS. One of the photos shows DJ Raiden and Girls' Generation Hyoyeon, while the other pic reveals the title of the two artists' collaboration track - 'Think About Me'.
In addition, SM Entertainment revealed the release date of the new single on the caption, and it is stated there that it will be out on October 30 at 6:00 p.m. KST through SM Station. The lyrics of the collaboration song are established on an individual who longs for his past lover. It was also reported that Rapper Coogie would also take part in the track, showcasing his unique rap skills.
What's more, IMLAY and DJ Ginjo, who are musicians from iScreaM Records, lend a helping hand in the remix version of 'Think About Me', which will also be included in Girls' Generation Hyoyeon X DJ Raiden's upcoming single album.
"'Think About Me' marks Hyoyeon's first collaboration with DJ Raiden. The latter previously teamed up with Hyoyeon's fellow Girls' Generation member Yuri for the song 'Always Find You', which was released in January 2018. Meanwhile, Hyoyeon, also called DJ HYO, had her first collaboration single in June 2016, when she was featured in the track entitled 'Up & Down', which is included in the second mini-album 'Why' of her fellow Girls' Generation member Taeyeon.
DJ HYO then launched the single 'DESSERT' on July 22 this year. This is her first comeback in almost a year since 'Badster', which was out in July 2019. The collaboration track features two artists, namely (G)I-DLE's Soyeon and rapper Loopy. Girls' Generation Hyoyeon is reported to have taken part in creating the song.
Ahead of the release of "DESSERT, Kim Hyoyeon joined Mnet's reality show called "Good Girl. She competed with several artists such as Ailee, Cheetah, Jamie, Jiwoo, Lee Youngji, Queen Wasabii, Sleeq, Yeeun, and Yunhway. The program took place from May 14 to July 2. In the finale, Hyoyeon showed off her impeccable dancing skills with the song 'I Do What I Want', together with Lee Youngji. Because of their impressive performance, the duo took home the prize.
Kim Hyoyeon officially debuted as a member of Girls' Generation in August 2007, having the positions of main dancer and main rapper. Since debuting, the female idol has been participating in various competition shows, being featured in several songs of other K-Pop artists, and appearing on various television programs. Hyoyeon even published a book titled "Hyo Style, making her the first Girls' Generation member to do so.
In December 2016, the singer released her very first solo track "Mystery and had her own reality show "Hyoyeon's 10 Million Likes 2. Besides accomplishing activities as a K-Pop artist, Girls' Generation Hyoyeon will also promote as a DJ in domestic club tours and EDM festivals under the name DJ HYO. In fact, she held an exclusive DJ set in House Manila at Hilton Hotel on February 8 this year.
