The first 2020 Philippines-Korea Cultural Exchange Festival Online, October 31, 2020, 3PM
Together with the United Korean Community Association in the Philippines and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines will launch the 2020 Philippines-Korea Cultural Exchange Festival online for the first time in its 29 year history.
The virtual show aims to highlight the Philippines and Korea's exceptional friendship and beautiful cultures. This aims to include a wider digital audience. On October 31, 2020, the electrifying show will be streamed solely on KCC's Facebook and YouTube channel at 3:00 p.m.
The online event under its theme "We Grow Together" is set to uplift the audience through entertainment and amazing performances while everyone else stays home. Sam Oh and Pao Ocampo are set to host this great event.
This occasion is the finale of a month-long cultural exchange festival between the two countries. Wonderful artists such as SB19, Dasuri Choi, KZ Tandingan, Star Hunt Academy Trainees, World Music Band ID from Korea, and Celso Espejo Rondalla from the Philippines are expected to perform.
Mona Gonzales, Wave Lee, Ann Sandig, Sandra Jung, and PhilKor 2019 Grand champion Venisse Nicole Siy will entertain the crowd before the main show.
The vocal and dance talent competition finalists at the PhilKor Festival will be performing. The winners will be announced per category based on the number of views, online votes, and judges' assessment. Php 50,000 cash will be taken home by the grand prize winner, while one winner per category will bag Php 30,000.
Online viewers also get a chance to participate by engaging in the hashtag activity brought by event sponsor SMART Telecommunications. Viewers also get the opportunity to win prizes. Filipino and Korean participants are open to this contest as 10 lucky respondents with the right answer to the question will be picked to win Smart Goodies.
