At number one, and the woman who is considered the most beautiful face of Asia for the year is BLACKPINK's Lisa! She was also given the number one spot in last year's (2019) rankings. Lisa hails from Buriram, Thailand, and is a rapper, singer, and dancer based in South Korea. Lisa is known for her popularity in South Korea, Thailand, and China. Lisa gained fame in the latter country following her appearance as a dance mentor on 'Youth With You 2', which bagged her major brand endorsements in the country.
Lisa is the only Thai celebrity to make the list. Congratulations, Lisa!
In the second place, MAMAMOO's Moonbyul took the crown. According to the updates on TC Candler's Instagram account, Moonbyul and Lisa were practically neck-in-neck before Lisa took the throne. Moonbyul is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress. Other than her activities with MAMAMOO, Moonbyul is active as a soloist, and on television shows. This is the first time Moonbyul had made the list and impressively ranked in second place.
The next K-pop idol to make the list is BLACKPINK's Jennie, ranking in fifth place. Jennie has proven her popularity not only in South Korea but internationally as well. In South Korea, she has consistently charted at the top of 'individual girl group member brand ranking'. According to Gallup Korea in 2018, she is the second most popular idol in South Korea. In 2019, Google revealed she was the most-searched K-pop idol in the world. Last year, Jennie ranked at number three.
The next K-pop idol to make an appearance on the top 10 is Miyawaki Sakura of IZ*ONE. Sakura is a Japanese idol based both in South Korea and Japan. She is a first-generation member of the Japanese girl group HKT48 and debuted in IZ*ONE after winning second place on Mnet's 'Produce 48'. Prior to her debut in South Korea, she was already a big name in Japan and the idol industry there. She achieved international success after her debut with IZ*ONE. In 2019, Sakura ranked second place.
Number eight goes to yet another BLACKPINK member, Rosé! Rosé is a New Zealand singer and dancer based in South Korea. She was born in New Zealand to South Korean parents and was raised in Australia. Like her other members, Rosé has consistently appeared on the 'individual girl group member brand ranking' list. In 2019, Rosé ranked at number 13, making this her first time to rank within the top 10.
Number nine goes to another BLACKPINK member, Jisoo, meaning all the girl of BLACKPINK had made the top 10. Jisoo is a South Korean singer and actress. In 2018, Jisoo made Gallup Korea's list of most popular celebrities at number 10. She was also ranked as the sixth most popular female K-pop idol with soldiers partaking in their mandatory military service.
