STAYC Achieves New Record after Entering Billboard’s ‘K-pop 100’ Chart

Rookie group STAYC is gaining massive recognition from Billboard!

According to Billboard Korea, the new girl K-pop girl group STAYC reached another achievement after entering Billboard's "K-pop 100." The announcement was also posted on their official website. Based on the ranking, STAYC's first single, "Star to a Young Culture," and its title track, "So Bad," ranked No. 90th as it entered the chart.

Billboard K-pop 100 is the representative K-pop chart of Billboard, one of the world's most prestigious music media platforms, collecting the top 10 most famous songs in Korea that are determined by the numbers of download and stream, as well as the radio and television data.

STAYC's Debut Song "So Bad" on Billboard

STAYC is a six-membered group comprised of Sieun, Seeun, Sumin, J, Isa, and Yoon, which debuted on Nov. 12 this year under High Up Entertainment. Prior to their debut, the group already received favorable comments as they are the first group produced by duo Black-Eyed Pilseung, one of the top producers in K-pop.

The concept of the group's track is to express the confident "TEEN FRESH" of the youth who can speak their minds without hiding their feelings, even though it is the start of a poor love. The song is a combination of drum, bass, and synth-wave sounds, complemented by the raw and unique voices of STAYC members. It also has addictive melody lines and unique lyrics that will keep a listener humming once a music fan listened to it.

In the beginning, the rookie group has also proved their potential to rise into a global group. It will prosper not only in the Korean market as well in the international market due to their incredible visuals revealed in their teasers. Their member Sieun, who is already a rising actress prior debut, captured the media and netizens' interest and eventually captured several new fans' hearts.

Despite being a girl group composed of all Koreans without foreign members, STAYC is expected to reach more international fans as they continue their music industry journey.STAYC, which announced the birth of an emerging group that will continue the new genealogy of K-pop, will continue to be active. They are also set to unveil more of their potentials and talents on their upcoming projects, schedules, and release.
