This week marks the third anniversary of LINE FRIENDS' BT21 line, the creative studio's collaboration with global phenomenon BTS, and is celebrating it with the "2020 BT21 Festival."
This year's celebration of the hit IP franchise launches with the theme "We The Love-Spreaders" - a declaration of BTS and BT21 vision of spreading love and hope to everyone worldwide. Its strong millennial and Gen Z fanbase are invited to join its various festival programs and enjoy new and exclusive content such as the "UNISTARS Love Wall," #UNISTARS_WISHLIST," and the fourth episode of "BT21 Original Story" - the short animated series that features the titular BT21 characters featured on its official YouTube channel.

The event was launched last December 7 and will be running up until the end of the month, December 31. Below are some of the fun things to expect for this year's 2020 BT21 Festival:
UNISTARS' Love Wall and Wishlist
In "UNISTARS Love Wall," members of UNISTARS - the official term for BT21 fans - will be invited to share their own messages of hope and love. This chain of messages will go on for the following weeks in a "Love Wall" posted on the official BT21 Twitter account.
Finally, these heartwarming messages will be collected to appear in a video clip set to appear in all of BT21's SNS as a part of this month-long celebration's culmination on December 31. More than an online event, the same UNISTARS clip will be running on the digital signage located at the LINE FRIENDS store at the New York Times Square!
UNISTARS are in for a treat this festival because starting December 9, a unique engagement program will be running across its SNS channels. Fans can share photos and stories of their favorite BT21 products, and using the hashtag "#UNISTARS_WISHLIST," LINE FRIENDS will make the three most popular products available for sale again starting next year.
LINE FRIENDS and BT21
LINE FRIENDS is a famous character brand that traces its origins from BROWN & FRIENDS, initially created for use as stickers for leading chat app LINE that boasts more than 200 million active users worldwide. Since then, it has expanded to include different franchises, K-Pop group collabs, and IP series, one of the most popular is BT21.

Born back in September 2017, BTS and LINE FRIENDS collaborated to give birth to BT21. The seven-member boy group spent a day sketching their own character ideas, which were later taken by a design team to become more defined characters. Their work together has resulted in eight distinct characters: the heart-headed character Tata created by V; the dancing pony Mang created by J-Hope; the cool puppy in yellow overalls, Chimmy, from Jimin; the parka-wearing alpaca RJ, created by Jin; the sleepy blue koala Koya, created by RM; the milk-hating cookie, Shooky, by Suga; and the "rabbit with attitude," Cooky, from Jungkook himself. The eighth character, a gray-and-white space robot named "Van," is said to represent ARMY - the group's official fanbase.
The group of animated characters was inspired by Suga, who mentioned that the characters should represent both the BTS and the 21st century, hoping that they would live together for the next hundred years.
