Jimin is, indeed, one of the most talked-about members of BTS. Aside from being the face of numerous brands and selling out items, the co-member of Jin, Jungkook, RM, J-Hope, V and Suga, is now dominating music charts. In fact, one of his songs was named the bestselling Korean solo song recently.
Billboard released its weekly list of America's 25 bestselling digital singles in the world music genre on Wednesday, Dec. 23, and the song "Filter" ranked fourth in the said chart.
ARMYS could not help but rejoice over Jimin's new feat. Aside from that, "Filter" is also the longest-charting track among other songs. BTS has released in 2020, spending 41 weeks on the chart. It is also the highest-ranking Asian and Korean solo song in the said Billboard chart.
Apart from "Filter," there are eight other BTS songs that entered the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart, which include "Fly to My Room" at No. 20, "Dis-ease" at No. 19, "Telepathy" at No. 17, "Euphoria" at No. 13, "Stay" at No. 12, "My Time" at No. 7, "Blue and Grey" at No. 5 while BTS's trending track called "Life Goes On" took the No. 1 spot.
If that is not enough, "Filter" was even named as one of the Most Streamed 2020 Songs by Korean Boy Groups on Spotify. Jimin's track came fourth after "Dynamite," "Black Swan," and "On." Other BTS songs included in the list include "Life Goes On" in the fifth spot, "Stay Gold" in the sixth spot, "My Time" in the seventh spot, "We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal" in the ninth spot, "Friends" in the10th spot, "00:00" in the 12th spot, "UGH!" in the 13th spot, and "Louder Than Bombs" in the 15th spot among others.
Jimin, in a recent video uploaded by Vanity Fair on YouTube, revealed that the unwavering love and support moved him that he, Jin, Jungkook, RM, J-Hope, V, and Suga have been receiving from their avid followers. The "Boy with Luv" singer said that getting the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart is like being nominated at Grammy Awards. However, he clarified that the feeling is somehow different since the Billboard Hot 100 includes all the music produced and released worldwide.
The BTS member even shared that being at No. 1 spot made him think that their music and sincerity have touched many people. Jimin added he realized that the most meaningful part is that he, Jin, Jungkook, RM, J-Hope, V, and Suga are reaching millions of people and really connecting with them to the heart.
Meanwhile, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, RM, J-Hope, V, and Suga's "Dynamite" song remains strong as it is already on its 17th week on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. The popular track is currently taking the ninth spot while reclaiming the highest rank in the Global Exclusive U.S. Chart.
"Dynamite" was streamed 59.1 million times and sold approximately 17,000 copies already last week. It has also been listed in several music charts for more than six weeks and got the record for most weeks being on the No. 1 spot.
